The question is "who are they going to replace him/the other cast with?" (Pretending they haven't already shown the generic anime boy/girl self-inserts.)

If it's anything like the Gary Stew that other anime had. It's not going to have the same longevity. But if they have an Ash 2.0. People will question why it was changed in the first place. ([s]Marketing and toy sales.[/s])
