SPARKLE PRECURE “Twinkling in the darkness… Sparkle PreCure!” In the Sacred Realm, saints and fairies exist thanks to humans giving them their prayers. In return, the saints bless the truly faithful with small miracles while cleansing the darkness in their Soul Shards, the personification of their hearts. One of the kindest saints ever was St. Optic, the patron saint of visionary miracles. He took care of everyone alike, even the unfaithful when many other saints ignored them. However, he made a terrible discovery - all of the darkness he was purging from his subjects wasn’t being exterminated… only being stored in his own Soul Shard! Even worse was that one of his friends, St. Viva, was discovered to have the same ailment and was nearly killed over it. St. Optic grew desperate to save his friend and he reviled the way his fellow saints treated one of their kind. The darkness in his Soul Shard took him over before he could stop it. As a last measure, St. Optic divided a part of his Soul Shard into three and sent the fragments to reside within three pure-hearted girls. He instructed his personal fairy servant Glitter to find those girls and help them become the Pretty Cure – legendary warriors who used the saint’s power to fight darkness. Afterwards, the darkness conquered him and quickly dominated the Sacred Realm, stimulating the evil hidden within all of the other saints’ Soul Shards and turning them into his minions. This overwhelming darkness transformed the Sacred Realm into a world of evil called the Void Space. Meanwhile, Seijinbashi is a huge bridge spanning across two landmasses and is home to the world’s affluent. Many mansions, businesses, buildings and shops are situated on Seijinbashi, making it a popular tourist attraction. Seijinbashi likewise reveres the saints, naming their largest facilities and modeling grand statues after them. The three girls live here with their wealthy families and attend St. Optic Academy, one of the world’s prestigious schools. Unbeknownst to them, Glitter is on her way to find and guide them into becoming the Sparkle PreCure… the world’s last hope against the Void Space! ** Based off of Izumi Todo’s Pretty Cure (or ‘PreCure’) franchise, this is an original PreCure storyline and characters I had made up a few years ago but never really used. I have already designed the Cures and some main villains, and they are covered in detail below. Before that though, I want to touch upon some very important rules as I will be flexible in some instances and inflexible in others. I want you guys to understand when this will happen before you consider applying. RULES 1. As I have made the main Cures to reflect the storyline, I will not allow new Cures to be made! I may be more open to more villains, and am definitely open to friends, family and miscellaneous side characters, but no more Cures. Three is the limit. I designed the whole thing to just use these ones. Don’t argue with me or you won’t be able to join. 2. If you wish to RP as Cure Radiant, Cure Illusion, Glitter, Closed Mind, and/or Empty Heart (as I will be playing Cure Spectra and Blind Eye), you must be dedicated to the RP! If you don’t post within a few days and make no attempt to contact me about what’s happening with you, I will simply let someone else inherit that character. I have the worst patience level in the world, and I want to RP at a steady pace rather than wait around forever for people who drop off the face of the Earth. Just because you say you want to be one of these characters doesn’t necessarily mean you either get or keep the role. They’re important to the story, and thus must be treated as such. 3. Character names should be in Japanese format. Last names should be first, while given names are second. You don’t need to use Japanese kana if you’re not familiar with them. I just added them for nerd points. :rollin 4. Character interaction and development is highly encouraged here. I’ve described the main characters as best as I can, so use their bios as guidelines while developing interesting relationships. 5. You don’t need to have watched the series prior to joining this, although some knowledge would be an asset. They’re all virtually the same, so if you’ve watched one series, you’ve watched them all. :rolleyes Unlike the happy and lighthearted series, this one was originally made to be a bit darker in nature, although the themes of friendship, teamwork and fashion are still prevalent. 6. Since this is the Advanced forum, please follow those guidelines for writing posts. I don’t expect long posts every time, but I do want coherent writing ability and good attention to story flow. 7. If you’re not happy with the idea of RP’ing as main OCs I made up and are desperate to make your own mains, either make up a side character who will interact with the mains a lot, or start your own RP. I put a lot of time and thought into this and would rather not manipulate things just to suit your needs. Enough said. >.>; I think that covers everything. With that, I shall now cover the main characters for Sparkle PreCure in my next post and designate RPers to them. Afterwards, there is a CS for characters you wish to make up if you’re not interested in RPing as a main or those slots are filled. I will keep everyone updated as to each main's status so no one falls into a plot hole due to an author's absence.
