Ruby awaited a response to her impulsive gesture, which was actually on the subtle side for her. She turned her eyes toward the champion horse, and her face illuminated.

[color=ed1c24]"Ah... Thank you. Though, that is not her real name, despite the announcer's sense of humor.”[/color]

Before she could reply, the horse started to approach her, bringing its muzzle right into her hair. She felt a tingly sensation as the animal sniffed away and finally brought its head onto her shoulder. Its massive head nearly pushed [url=https://i.imgur.com/fjORG0J.png]her hat[/url] right off. Ruby softly patted the horse’s nose and giggled. [color=C17ECE][i] If I had as much skill with people as I do with animals, my life would be far different [/i][/color] thought Ruby. 

She glanced back over to the horse’s keeper, noticing her extravagant hat and kempt appearance.[color=ed1c24]"Her name is Lady Avarice. And I believe she likes you."[/color]

You could have fooled Ruby, even with a name like Queen Tulip the Bitch Slayer. [color=C17ECE]“Lady Avarice! A beautiful name for a beautiful girl. I think we just became best friends.”[/color] she shouted, still infatuated with the creature. The woman then introduced herself to Ruby and that was when she noticed the sword by her hip.

General Carris of the Armed Forces.. A well-dressed lady with tact and presumably many skills. She did not know whether to feel intimidation or admiration toward such a woman. Something about her calmed Ruby. 

[color=C17ECE]“I don’t think we have [met]! My name is Ruby, Ruby Maeve. I am somewhat new in town. I just love events like this. Attended them [i]all[/i] the time back home. Are you also entering the hat contest, or do you always look so fashionable while you ride?”[/color] Ruby look eagerly at General Carris. If someone didn't stop her from talking soon, they were both going to miss the contest.
