Catherine[@SouffleGirl123]
It had been an average day in the Pearson household. Mr and Mrs Pearson spent the majority of the day at work. The twin boys spent their days trying to avoid college work, whilst Lydia was trying not to die of boredom as she listened to her private tutor waffle on. Getting home-schooled wasn’t the fun she first pictured it to be. Yes, her parents allowed her to be taught the things that she liked and excelled at; art. But she also had to put up with the more annoying subjects like Math, Science, History ect. Her parents wanted her to have some knowledge of the world; something to help propel her towards a better future. Rather than just relying on everyone to do things for her. Lydia would have to learn that everything wasn’t always handed to her on a silver platter. Leaning her chin against the palm of her hand, her fingers drumming against the wooden table that she was sitting at. Making notes in her makeshift schooling book. Resisting the urge to draw random swirls and hearts around the border of the page. God knows, her mother would have a fit if her schooling books contained those. Whilst Lydia wanted to say that her day was thrilling; it was far from it. The only relief came from her private tutoring coming to an end for the day. Almost jumping out of her seat with eagerness when the clock struck 5pm and her lessons came to an end. It was at that time that her brothers waltzed into the room. Grinning from ear to ear; like they knew something. Those two always seemed to hear the latest gossip and news that went on around the Coven. “You still listening to your tutor drone on?” One of the twins questioned. “I am surprised you’re not getting ready for the party.” The twins themselves were planning on dropping by for a while themselves. But it was more of Lydia’s scene, than theirs. “Party? There’s a party?” Lydia asked, her eyes widening with delight. The twins chuckled, at the way she seemed to pipe up in excitement. “Yeah, at the coven…” before they could finish speaking. Lydia ran past them and upstairs to her bedroom. Shaking their heads. Knowing that their baby sister would jump at the next chance to attend a party. Coven party or not. Lydia would be there. Hearing what they thought was a light thud, as she almost tripped over her own feet, whilst taking the stairs 2 at a time. Knowing she probably should have spent some time expanding on her magic usage. But a party sounded like the more fun option. It took her a long while getting ready. Lydia started off with picking her outfit. Almost going through her entire wardrobe just to pick out the dress she wanted to wear tonight. Picking a dress, she knew her big brother Tristan would not approve of. But that wasn’t going to stop her. In her mind; she was old enough to wear it; no matter what he’d say about it. Leaving her outfit laying out on her bed. Lydia then took a shower; freshening herself up. Luckily she had an ensuite bathroom, to her bedroom. All of the rooms in the Pearson house included one. As she dried herself off; she left a towel wrapped around her body. Doing her make-up in the mirror bathroom. Along with her hair. Opting for styling her hair in curls. With a few spritz of her hair spray. Hopefully the curls would hold for the majority of the day. “Lyd come on!” Maverick’s voice carried through the hallway, outside of Lydia’s bedroom/ensuite bathroom. Rolling her eyes, Lydia yelled back. “I am almost done, sheesh!” Walking into her bedroom. She then got herself dressed. Double-checking her appearance in the mirror. It was almost 8pm, and she was finally ready. Knowing the twins were probably bored to death, waiting on her so long. But trying to look fabulous took time. Grabbing her favourite high-heels that she kept on a shoe rack by her bedroom door. She slipped them on; before joining the twins out in the hallway. Following them downstairs and out to the car. Letting the twins drive towards the coven house, Lydia had scrolled down the window as she was sitting in the passenger seat of the car. Not wanting to be squished at the back. Taking in the views of Tanner at night-time. It was her favourite time of the day. Feeling more alive and awake than she did during the day. It didn’t take them long to arrive at the coven household. Especially with her brother speeding the car on occasion. Driving like a bit of a wild nutter.
In the meantime, Tristan had spent his time chilling with Aurora and Catherine. But his ears caught the first fight of the night. It certainly didn’t take long for the night to turn into a shit-storm. Raising an eyebrow at the yelling, screaming and who knows what else that carried through the coven house. ‘Damn. This new Chick didn’t take long to try and piss off the coven.’ He thought to himself. Feeling somewhat relieved, that his little sister Lydia wasn’t here. He’d spend the entire night worrying. Clearly he made that assumption a bit too early. As at that particular moment, he saw a familiar sight. The twins walk in casually, followed by Lydia. Whom was all but bouncing on her feet in excitement. “Oh no, you don’t.” Tristan muttered to himself when he saw what she was wearing. It was a wonder, the sight didn’t give him an aneurysm. Getting up from his seat, he walked over to her. A frown visible across his face. “What do you call this?!” His tone was demanding, eyebrow raised. As Lydia got out of the car, she straightened out her crimson dress. Not wanting it to be creased upon her arrival. The music was blasting already, as she arrived. The twins head off in their own direction to mingle. On her way to the drinks table. Lydia saw her big brother practically fuming when he saw her arrive. “Umm Hi.” She said, greeting her big brother. Smirking at his question. “A party? This is a party.” Her voice filled with her usual sass. “Haven’t you ever been to one? I didn’t think you’d be so clueless about a party.” Stopping when she saw a familiar face “Oh my god, Cat!” she squealed in excitement. Running over to Catherine to embrace her in a hug. Lydia missed her friend. It felt like forever since she had last seen her. “It’s so good to see you.” she smiled at Catherine. After squeezing her in a hug for a few moments, she finally let her go; so she could pour herself a drink. Grabbing one of the bottles of Gin, so she could make herself a gin and tonic. With a huff, Tristan followed Lydia. “I know what a party is.” he rolled his eyes slightly. “I meant this! What is this!?” he said, gesturing to her outfit like a mad man. Her dress was all sort of short and revealing. “You are going back home, right now young Missy and changing into something more appropriate.” Seeing Lydia trying to pour herself a cup of Gin and Tonic; he grabbed the half filled cup from her, setting it on the table. “No!” he shook his head firmly. No way was he letting her drink the hard stuff. Lydia tried not to laugh at her big brother, as he gestured madly at her dress. “It’s a dress.” As he demanded that she go home and change, she scoffed. “No way! It’s a new dress. I am not letting it go to waste in my wardrobe.” Lydia whined when he took the cup away from her. “Oi!” She then proceeded to grab another cup, starting to fill it up again. “This is a coven party. Not a licence to get laid.” Tristan reminded Lydia, when she brought up not wanting to change her dress. “Little help here ladies?” looking towards Catherine and Aurora, for some help. Hoping that the girls might be on his side and tell Lydia, she didn’t exactly pick the best outfit for the night. It seemed like his little sister however didn’t get the message, as she started filling up another cup. Taking that cup away from her also.
