Kaede stands at around 5’2 with a slim build. She has long jet black hair that ends at her thighs and is cropped in layers, usually in a loose ponytail or completely free with an accessory or two to hold her bangs; she'll also have accessories in the form of necklaces and friendship bracelets. She has pale skin, ruby red eyes that seem to hold no warmth, and tends to prefer dark clothing when not in uniform (particularly turtlenecks and skirts). When in uniform, it is clean, proper, and holds no personalization to the uniform itself.

Kaede, according to the students at Izumi, is a robot. She normally keeps her emotions in check and is incredibly difficult to read at a glance. Sure she’ll smile or her eyebrows will furrow, but her stoicism makes people think she’s unable to emote or a robot missing her personality program. Some students at the academy have taken to making it a game to try and make her show some sort of extreme emotion.

Aside from this, Kaede is a kind girl who is very mature for her age. She focuses a lot of her time on her studies or whatever club/hobby she's currently focusing on. She's also a known club jumper around Izumi and cannot seem to find a place where she feels she belongs. Because of this she's done a bit of everything but mastered nothing. The only hobbies she’s expressed interest in continuing and does regularly is playing video games, book collecting (though not actually reading them), and making friendship bracelets.

Though she does not show it, Kaede is actually a bit childish. Fart jokes are still funny and she'll occasionally write "8008135" in calculators for giggles. Kaede will always speak her mind regarding the things she dislikes, especially against things that are unfair or food going to waste.


[color=db7272][b]SHORT BIOGRAPHY:[/b][/color]
Mr. and Mrs. Igarashi’s first mistake was becoming pregnant when they were struggling with money. Their second mistake was choosing a hospital that they heard was cheaper than the rest. There were supposed to be three beautiful daughters for the two to care for once Mrs. Igarashi had finished delivering, but that wasn’t the case. Kaede was the only one to be given to her father along with the news that two of the triplets as well as Mrs. Igarashi did not make it. They’d done everything they could, but they could not save them. 

Her father was absolutely devastated, losing not just the love of his life, but his two other daughters as well. Be it the scorn of a heartbroken father or a man who wanted revenge, Mr. Igarashi was unable to accept that the hospital had done everything they could. So, he paid for lawyers and sued the hospital for the failure to rescue what should have been healthy babies and their mother, who had had no histories or warning of birth complications prior to the delivery. [i]Especially[/i] with modern technology.

The court proceedings were long, many, and tiresome, but in the end, Mr. Igarashi was awarded a huge sum of money in compensation for the loss of his wife and daughters. The amount was large enough that Mr. Igarashi’s story had appeared on the internet, but after a month or so of popularity, the story and attention faded away.

Kaede's father, unable to stomach the thought of even touching the money, decided to put most of it into a trust fund and the rest into a savings account to accumulate interest over time for Kaede's benefit. He’d give the debit card linked to the savings account to her once she was 15 years old and told her she could do whatever she wanted with the money. To this day she hasn't used the money for anything besides her computer and video game consoles.

While growing up, Kaede’s father’s mental health deteriorated. He only left the house to go to work or to run any errands Kaede was too young to do herself. He wallowed on the couch depressed and devoid of life. His loss of motivation to even be alive kept him from lifting a finger to even care for himself. It got so bad that Kaede’s grandparents would come to support their son. Though they talked to her and made sure she was well, they weren’t exactly parental figures as they were too busy caring for her father. They had even gotten her a cat to try and make her less lonely; a calico that jiggled every time she walked, which Kaede appropriately named "Jiggles".

Of course this didn't change that Kaede was left to raise herself. Since she was 7 years old, she would do the cooking, cleaning, using her father’s money to pay the bills, and making sure the house was running smoothly. When she’s not at home, she is jumping from club to club at Izumi for activities or hanging out with whatever friends she has.

-Kaede, even if she hates the food she's eating, will finish it because she hates things going to waste.

-Kaede does not make friendship bracelets for other people. What she’ll do is she’ll make a bracelet that she feels represents her friend the most then she’ll wear it every day until she’s not friends with them anymore.

-Despite having a good chunk of money at her disposal, Kaede is pretty frugal.

-Her phone is full of pictures of her cat. Her wallpaper is a picture of her cat as a kitten and her lock screen is a video of her cat in a harness.
