[indent]Calm and soft-spoken but still very much an extrovert Cyrus holds a deep love for all living things. He believes in being selfless, in always doing what he can to best serve those around him, and generally choosing kindness as often as he can. His trust is easily gained and hard to lose; he views forgiveness as an extension of love, and loving others comes naturally to him. He values connection above all else, to nature and others, for as much as it is a forest fairy’s responsibility to attend to the forests, it is equally important to care for his community. He is often very affectionate, depending on the person it may be with words and gestures or it may be through touch. He views the world much in the same way he views nature; change is a beautiful part of life, and pain and hardship exist to promote new growth.

Cyrus believes that all things should be approached without judgment though he is not always a perfect vessel for his beliefs. When anger is felt he tried to better understand it before reacting. He puts effort into controlling emotions and impulses in the majority of situations. Action is something that must be considered and he seeks to put out as little harm as he can. Often his hesitation towards action can be seen as cowardly, but Cyrus considers actions of peace to be far braver than those of violence. He also tends to seek out company when his mind grows dark rather than isolating himself, feeling that fresh perspectives offer more value in these situations. 

Cyrus believes that emotions are to be controlled and that the mind can be tricked, but intuition will always guide him to where he needs to be. The majority of his education has been spiritual, and while he holds strong conviction to his beliefs, they too are impermanent, and he will just as easily break them when it is time to let them go. It is not his place to manipulate but he is always willing to offer guidance but only when asked. 

Many might mistake his peaceful nature as a weakness, or think him incapable of fighting when needed. They would be mistaken, Cyrus will enter battle with the same dedication he has to healing, he will do what is asked of him to protect those around him. He understands that a peaceful solution is not always possible, and just as nature can seem cruel, sometimes lives must end for new life to flourish. His preference for battles is to enter them in an altered state, to fully embody the most savage aspects of nature to ensure success, and once he’s gotten there, it is a state he fully embraces. It normally hangs against his right leg positioned so that its eyes watch his back. Wearing it helps him dissolve into the state he needs to be in for violence though he could do so without it. As with all his sacred objects, it is a tool that aids him rather than a necessity.

On each wrist he wears a collection of breaded bracelets made of various minerals; a variety of colors on his left and white and black on his right. They are also decorated with a variety of plant materials, and he finds they help focus his healing magic. He also likes the soothing clacking sound they make. 
-He carries a few other things; a couple of knives, a wooden pipe, his pockets are always filled with a variety of seeds, and he carries a few trimmings of healing plants as well as some toxic ones. [/indent]

[indent]As a child Cyrus was just as obsessed with plants and the gifts of the earth as he is today. But his peaceful nature developed later in life through careful cultivation. He was wild, adventurous, and often difficult to control. Most people know what happened to his family, but few know exactly how deeply it affected him. Witnessing his parents die for a lost cause burned away everything he once was and left him hollow out, empty. He tried to fill himself with many things devoid of meaning. He drank, he wandered, and he wallowed. Cyrus attempted to end his life one night after finding highly toxic mushrooms. While he did not physically die, he experienced a different sort of death and was given a confusing mix of visions. When his senses returned he had been reborn, he sought out understanding for what he had experienced. He became an apprentice to a fae shaman, where Cyrus spent a decade devoting his life to his teachings.

Eventually, the time came for them to part ways, as his teacher's spirit returned to the earth. Cyrus's emptiness had been replaced with a sense of purpose; now a healer deeply connected to the world around him and filled with the desire to do all he can to make the world a little bit better. Cyrus set out to find out if anyone else from his shattered family still walked Avalia.[/indent]
