The night had become silent, as I was traversing the rooftops of what I had thought was an upTown scene; There were no City buildings, but every building whether livable or not was close enough to resemble an unIncorporated Burg, so the rooftops could be tread upon casually for miles, safe from terraformed carnage, like construction.

I'd be able to sleep in the shadows, wake at first warmth, and return to my lair within the hours of daybreak. I was about to search for a location when I saw a Base-of-Operations below to a Court Way-Boulevard. There were caches of hidden processions, some open with ordnances of Burst Rifles, some more modern to the ability of several assault functions, not merely fully-automatic, straight tents, and tables. All the Vigil Crusaders thereof were Pet Types; Dogs mostly, Parrots, Canaries, Bunnies, Pigs, Fish, Cats, Turtles, Lizards, Serpents, Amphibians, but it were the Dogs and Cats that were patrolling the outland, the Others were at Parade-Halt, requesting positions amongst themselves for stability.

4 black Limousines drove into the Qualm. Pet Snakes exited the vehicles, hauling a tied Woman-type of Heroine. Lights began to lit around the vicinity from overhanging cables I hadn't evidently seen, like a Spider-Web the cables ordained to the center of their Base-of-Operations. I couldn't see exactly how they spoke, thus I could only get mild sound, but I dared not get closer, I remained in darkness looking down at the Brigade.

A Black Man in a black costume set the Woman down onto a wooden picnic table, took off the apparel from her Head, freeing that much for her to see. He spoke to a goldeny muscular Male "Here, Major Retriever, is a Terrorist from the extremes." She began to asunder Herself over at them "I am Princess Javan Spitting Cobra Monika! You will desist and reform with me unbound before I will have your contempt-" She was muffled with that apparel anew, silencing Her.
