House Celtigar rules Claw Isle, an island in the narrow sea off the coast of Crackclaw Point. The Celtigars are historically sworn to Dragonstone within the Crownlands. House Celtigar is an ancient and proud house, with the blood of old Valyria in its veins. Lord Crispian Celtigar served as master of coin to King Aegon I Targaryen, while Lord Alton Celtigar served as Hand of the King to Aegon I Targaryen. The Celtigars claim dominion over Crackclaw Point, but the inhabitants do not acknowledge their claim. When they surrendered peacefully to Queen Visenya Targaryen during the Aegon's Conquest, the people of Crackclaw were officially freed from pledging fealty to anyone but the Iron Throne. The Celtigars occasionally send men there to collect taxes. If Lord Celtigar sends enough collectors, a few come back to him. 

[b]Recent History[/b]
House Celtigar has remained staunchly loyal to House Targaryen, going so far as to send levies to help defend King Aenys against the Faith Militant Uprising. As the fortunes of House Targaryen rapidly went from bad to worse, Lord Edwell and Ser Viserys Celtigar, wielder of the famed Valyrian Steel Axe Crab Pincer, vowed to defend their rightful sovereign to the bitter end. To that end, Ser Viserys sailed forth to King's Landing to help suppress the traitorous Faith Militant uprising, leading a cadre of knights to ensure the Red Keep remained firmly in the hands of House Targaryen. With the line of succession now falling to Maegor Targaryen, Viserys and Edwell both look to their Prince for direction in these trying times.
