[*]Born in Chicago, IL to a single mother, they both were in and out of homeless shelters until his mother was killed when he was eight years old by her abusive boyfriend. It was then discovered that the young child had been abused as well. Cigarette burns and old broken bones were discovered. An old knife wound was found across his upper right pec. The young boy was thought to be mute, but doctor's soon found it to be only selective. 
[*]Jumped from foster home to foster home as the boy could never trust men and always acted out against their orders. Constantly in and out of juvie for minor infractions, ie shoplifting, vandalism, car thefts.
[*]By the age of 16, the state had given up on placing him. Due to this, they sent him off to the Academy as a last ditch effort.
