[indent]Avery is willful, independent, and competitive. She strives to do her best at everything, and often attempts to be the best at any given task. She can annoy friends at times with her competitive side, but if you catch her on a more chill day, she's an insightful and caring person. She loves fantasy novels, but hasn't read any since early middle school, using most of her time to study or hone her skills in archery. She has an interest in theater as well, though it isn't her main passion. She does always try out for the lead role though. Despite being rich, she isn't too snooty or spoiled, not to say those attributes aren't there at all. If she does find free time, she'll usually listen to music or flick through some videos online, but she doesn't often find much. She does try to do something social at least a couple times a week, though most times she hangs out, she ends up bringing something to work on as well.[/indent]

[indent]Avery is the only daughter of Michael and Evelyn Sawyer. Evelyn is the CEO of the Peaceful Eve Hotels, a famous international chain of hotels. Michael Sawyer is a famous attorney, and is primarily Peaceful Eve's attorney. This busy power couple hadn't planned on having a daughter, but were still happy to have her. They make sure she has everything she could want, apart from their attention. They sent her to prestigious boarding schools for her entire school career, starting at first grade. She was always enrolled in the same area as Edgebaston, as her parents had always had it in their head that she would attend that school, as her parents both had, despite their family home being in Miami, Florida. It's hard to say if they're even aware of their neglect, having so much to worry about with their business, but Avery definitely noticed. Ever since Avery was young, she always did her best to excel, hoping to grab her parents attention. It usually worked for a little bit, and she has plenty of trophies and ribbons on her shelf from spelling bees and other academic awards, as well as trophies in archery and chess. She also had an interest in theater after getting a lead role in a 2nd grade pageant. The attention was intoxicating, and she had a talent for memorizing lines, even then. This is also a trait that has stuck with her.

Around middle school, her parents stopped seeming to take note of her accolades. This lit a fire under Avery, and she began trying even harder to stand out. She'd usually be on the honor roll with exceptional grades, but her social life suffered from it. By the time she entered her first year at Edgebaston, she decided she would at least try being more social every once in a while, discovering that it was still an important part of life. She is a trophy winning member of the archery club, and is a prominent member of the chess team as well. She is also an honor student, so does try to keep her nose out of trouble, though a little mischief is becoming more and more tempting.[/indent]

Persephone likes the limelight, and so does Avery. They're both strong willed and that all doesn't mix well. Avery would have been fine ignoring her, but Persephone just had to throw insults at her. Avery often throws insults back, and views herself as superior. She sees Persephone as a moron, who without her fortune, would have nothing going for her.
