Fortunately, a conversation about their tent assignments (or lack thereof) seemed to prop up and that was something she could contribute to.
"I don't believe we were assigned anyone. I'm open to sharing with whoever. Name's Harlowe. I'm a pretty sound sleeper. Probably due to my abilities."
“Guess it's all part of ‘team building’.” Kisha volunteered, as she turned to face the girl who talked about sleeping soundly. The Windsor-born girl didn’t know when the last time she had slept soundly. Even before her powers manifested she had always been a restless, manic disaster of a human being, so it wasn’t just how her HZE’s influenced her metabolism. Or at least, that’s what she figured. “Sleep and me don’t agree most of the time.” She remarked, as she thought about who she’d like to bunk with, though she didn’t exactly have anything to go by. Nobody had been explicitly an asshole or bitch or whatever, so a lot of it was gauging by vibes. She wasn’t usually good at picking up on vibes unless they were obvious. “But I’ll bunk with whoever. Just know I can be kinda weird and loud sometimes.” It wasn’t exactly the best selling pitch. “Hey guys! I’m actually obnoxious sometimes on account of being me! Anybody want to deal with me being weird? Dealing with a manic episode? I promise not to keep you up, I swear! Trust me.” Still, it was better to be straightforward than surprise someone with her personality. She just hoped it wouldn’t be a “picked last for soccer teams” kind of thing. It’d feel pretty awful and she wouldn’t know who she’d be stuck with at the end of the night if that were the case. Worst case scenario she supposed she could keep her distance. Plenty of ways to deflate her energy. There were a lot of places to hike, or in her case, run. Well, unless the storm was going to be as bad as it looked. Running on wet ground was a little trickier. More dangerous. She did nearly forget to introduce herself. She was so used to knowing everybody that it slipped her mind. She quickly made sure to add on to her comments so people knew her name, or at least anybody that was listening. “Oh. Right. I’m Lakisha, but everybody calls me Kish or Kisha. You guys can call me whichever.”
