Violence, Disease, and Anarchy - Apocalypse Role-Play - Background Information Background Information: Early Times - During the early 2000’s, a bioweapon was being designed, and it was created by the United Nations, and planned to be used against their potential enemies if necessary. The goal of the weapon was to kill off populations via disease, and it was supposed to be untraceable to the source, that being a United Nations bioweapon. Background Information: Deadly Complications - Eventually, whenever the weapon was being designed, the disease it carried had accidentally been released. The strand released didn’t just kill off populations, but it created a parasite that would take control of the body once the host had died. Small amounts of the population had a natural immunity to it, however. Background Information: End’s Beginning - The disease caught the world off guard, and before a vaccine could be produced, everyone who had the potential to be infected by the disease had been infected. The people who came back as parasitic hosts most often were hostile and cannibalistic. The small amounts of people with immunity started being killed off. Background Information: New Order - The world’s remaining human population began to split off into two separate cultural groups. Marauders were the ones who raided, pillaged, and killed to survive, only focusing on themselves or their gang. The survivors were the ones who used violence only against the undead, and did things like scavenging to survive.
