When I was alone as one, my eyes were as blind, I know. Sky brilliant with blue elegance, I couldn't behold. A little mermaid sang, her eyes closed. It was a beautiful song, one that she'd learned after pressing a few buttons on a strange device left by a human by the shore. The human probably lost it but...finders keepers, isn't it? She, Luna, the 11th princess of King Lir and Queen Adella of the Bluefin royalty, had found the device so it belonged to her now. And it was a wonderful device she must say. To think those human creatures had brilliant minds in creating such a small music box that could store so many beautiful songs. The only caveat was she couldn't risk keeping the music box in the deep ocean since it was a man-made item, she doubted any item the humans make could last in the ocean waters. She could only hide it beneath some rocks, far away from human sightings yet close enough for her reach whenever she wanted. When I was alone as one, My heart was as ice, so cold. Wind whispering sweet melodies, I could not behold. This was her favorite - not that she could read the squiggly writings on the music box when the song played. Then again, it's not as if she had to put a label to the song's title. As long as she could remember the tune and how the song is sung, that was enough. "Sight to my eyes, and warmth to my heart, Your love has been such to me. Pull closer now, And strengthen my leaning, Toward love to heal all my wounds...oww!" Luna squeaked as she felt a sharp pinch on her arm. Who was brave enough to mess with the Bluefin princess? She was ready to whack the offender with her tail when she caught sight of Krabby. "Stupid crab, stop pinching my arm before I turn you into Krabby patty!" Luna rubbed her bruised spot. "What brings you to the shore? Wait...have you been tailing me all along?" "What else, My Lady? You know I have a duty towards the King and Queen. If anything happens to their precious Princess Luna, the Krabby patty is going to be a real thing." Krabby rolled his crabby eyes. "Anyway, I'm here to tell you to leave. Saw me some ship by the beach a few miles off, a pretty huge one that is. Reckon there's gonna be lots of humans coming out of it, not gonna do me and Your Ladyship much good if any one of them sees us here. Unprotected that is," Krabby frowned. "Lesgo, Princess." Luna did not budge. Instead, her crystal blue eyes shone with excitement. A ship! Humans! The creator of the wonderful music box thing! How many more items must they have created apart from the music box? It would be interesting to take a look at the ship and find out. "Umm, Princess? Time to go...?" Krabby pointed both his claws towards the ocean, his crabby eyes questioning. Luna crossed her arms and smiled mischievously. "Well, Krabby, nope, not heading back just yet until I've checked out the human's ship." "But, Princess! What if them humans see you?" Krabby smacked a claw on his eyes in exasperation. Why was he ever assigned to the 11th Princess? Why not the 2nd Princess or the 5th? When will he ever live in peace instead of babysitting a disobedient mermaid? But Luna already made up her mind. Before Krabby could protest further and pinch her into submission to his will, Luna quickly swam in the direction of the ship.
