Rosalie stands 30ft away from the executioner, who has his sword drawn. Instinctively she could feel the energy flow through her body, begging to be unleashed. If she worried about matching this mysterious assailant blade-to-blade, she would also find that she had a rapier of her own on her hip. The puppets here seemed to fear the executioner, but she may have an unexpected ally among the crowd: those puppets that were about to be executed seem to be looking at Rosalie, and despite lacking any facial features they seemed more anticipating for some sort of signal from her, rather than targeting her for further vitriol. Perhaps if she could inspire them, they could in some way aid her?

Julia would get the jump on the butcher, getting a bead on him as he comes out swinging. It was obvious that he wasn't the least bit interested in negotiating and wouldn't hesitate to cut through the other puppets just to get to her. Just as well the puppets were all trying to save themselves, caring nothing for Julia in order to save their own skins, even if it was ultimately only making things worse for themselves by blocking each other from escaping. While Julia would no doubt have to deal with the butcher herself, she might be able to take advantage of the crowd blocking a path out if she was willing to test her agility jumping off the tables and counters, allowing her some space to move while putting the crowd between her and the butcher. Whatever she does she'll need to do it quick, as the madman was within 20ft of her and could easily reach her from her current position.

Mercifully, the armed aristocrats were fairly far away from Maxwell, but they closed the distance quickly. Two of them moved forward, their blades drawn as they got close enough to attack him, but he may be able to stop them before they get to hurt him! The other two however stayed a bit behind, not engaging directly but taking on a defensive stance as if waiting to see what Maxwell will do. This ball room was fairly big, but there was plenty of obstacles around that Maxwell could use to try and put some space between him and the nobles. For starters the dinning table was quite large so if he could go under, over, or around it, he could use it to prevent the nobles from being able to engage him directly. However what he might also notice was the fancy chandeliers thirty feet above his head: while they hung by chains, maybe if he had the right spell he could easily melt said chains and cause them to fall onto the nobles below, hitting at least two of them. It was a risky move but one that could easily change the fight more in his favor.
