[@Aisling] a small note: Ying's speaking in Chinese, which is her mother tongue from where she was. So for the time being, there could be some kind of language barrier so they will need to communicate via hand signals until there's a way she could converse in English with Aisling. In the meantime, Ying will make effort to pick up English from Aisling as much as she can, but it will be as if she's a baby slowly learning how to walk and talk.

As for the wooden owl, it can understand what Ying's speaking no matter the language as somehow the wooden owl is created to intuitively understand the owner it binds itself to.
