Name: Rebecca Valentine Age: 30 Faction: Civilian (Despite being a Dhamphir)

Job: Novelist Bio: Raised in an orphanage by nuns in New Mexico, Rebecca grew up never knowing her parents, only being told by the Sisters who presided over the orphanage that her mother and father had died in a terrible accident and a passing motorist discovered her infant body still alive. Since childhood, she believed what the nuns had told her, yet Rebecca couldn't help but think she was different from all the other children. She would grow sick to her stomach after eating anything that had garlic in it and the sight of any holy relics or religious paraphernalia gave her splitting, torturous headaches. Also....she began to develop an insatiable thirst for blood, first cutting herself with a razor and feasting on her own, then trapping wild rabbits in the playground to sustain her appetite. Some began to wonder if Rebecca was evil or if she was possessed by Satan. This soon led to the church who ran the orphanage to exile Rebecca when she was only sixteen. After being removed from the orphanage, she lived on the streets for years, mostly doing odd jobs to keep herself afloat as she drifted from town to town, before finding what seemed to be a house that once belonged to her deceased parents in Brooksfield, Colorado. Walking inside, she discovered something in the fireplace...a diary, or what was left of it. All that she could piece together from a few burnt scraps of the diary was that her father was a vampire and her mother was human. Likewise, learning this revelation put her at odds with herself, wondering if she even belonged with the humans, despite sharing their blood, and wondering how the humans may react when they discover she too is a bloodsucking creature from Hell. Still, it didn't stop her from intermingling with them after she finally settled down and took her family's house as her own. Since she was a teenager, writing was always a joy of hers, and through it she found a substantial career as a novelist, mostly penning Psychological Thrillers and Horror novels, but she has written a few Romances. Her bestselling book so far is The Maddening of Grimlock Sanitarium about a group of kids who spend the night in an abandoned mental hospital doing drugs and telling scary stories to each other, but throughout the night it seems their stories are coming to life. The magic behind it is you can't tell if what they're seeing is real or if its a hallucination. For years, Rebecca's lived in her family's small house, staving her incurable blood-lust by living off blood packets she "purchases" from the local hospital. Personality: Charming and elegant, a very Renaissance attitude, she could charm you with just a few simple words. She cares for others and does what's necessary to help those in need, but she fears getting too close to anyone...thinking it may invoke her vampiric side and drive her into bloodlust and mayhem. Family/Relationships: Both Rebecca's mother and father are deceased, having died from unknown causes. No other relatives are known to her either. She is currently single and she is bisexual, having more of a lean towards women than men. Weapons: She has a collection of antique Medieval and Japanese swords, but they are only for display purposes. For whenever she has to defend herself from any attackers, she keeps a Glock 19 in the nightstand by her bed with two magazines and carries a can of mace in her purse whenever she goes out.
