Low-light and darkvision, the ability to sense the living, regeneration, no need for food or water (in the traditonal sense) along with immunity and absorption of the Dark-element, as well as immunity to poison, disease, suffocation, etc. They also possess resistance to cold and ice, but are vulnerable to the Fire and hHoly-elements. Also, contrary to popular beliefs, banshee cannot fly nor pass through solid material. Banshee's Wail: Some say that the scream or cry of a Banshee can kill whoever hears it, and in days gone past,, that may very wel have been true. However, after the Great Change, a banshee's shriek only renders those who hear it unconscious, paralyzed or stunned, depending on how close to her they are when she cries out. It should also be noted that a banshee who weeps above a corpse has the power to resurrect it, albeit as an undead, and this is an irreversible change. Holy Herald: Louise used to be a High Priestess, and had received training, tutelage and all the corresponding knowledge that is required for such a position. As such, she's an extremely powerful Holy-element user, who can wield the sacred power of the light to both heal and help her friends, or harm and smite her enemies. Healing wounds, curing ailments, bestowing blessings of temporary strength, or just calling down a divine column of holy wrath to burn away wicked things, this former Holy Maiden is a force to be reckoned with! Vestments of the Fallen Saint: Along with herself, Louise's garments also transformed when she was changed into a banshee. Although weakened by the change, they still retain some of their former enchantments and power. In particular, they grant the wearer resistance to all forms of Dark magic (an ironically unnecessary boon in her current state), resistance to Light or Holy magic (to a lesser extent), as well as a (now) very minor resistance to the four primary elements. Also, for some reason, the leotard-like torso-portion of her attire seems to become more transparent and see-through the more light shines on it... Louise has no idea why this is. Scepter of the Sacred Hand: Louise carries with her a staff-like scepter, which most likely was something she received back when she was still human. It is an ornate and pretty thing, and unlike her clothes did not undergo any transformation along with its wielder. It serves as a foci for any spells Louise casts, as well as her only means of self-defense should anyone engage her in close quarters. Unfortunately, being a priestess doesn't exactly involve close combat-training or melee-drills, so you shouldn't expect much of her in this department... Even if she's much stronger, faster and tougher now than she could ever hope to be as a human. Personality: Luouise is a kind-hearted, gentle and caring soul who dislikes violence and hates needless bloodshed, though she also knows that sometimes confrontations are unavoidable. She's generous, selfless and both very patient and forgiving - almost to a fault at times. That said, she isn't a pushover or a coward, and she'll stand her ground bravely to protect that and those she cares for or believes deserve it. After becoming an undead, her feelings and emotions have become much more muted and vague. Sometimes she can seem aloof, seemingly gazing off into the distance with a thousand-yard stare and a placid, expressionless face. That said, she can still feel the full range of emotions that anyone else can, of course, just not as strongly or passionately. Except for grief and sorrow, which seems to come more easily to her now... Which often results in her crying. A lot. Some might even call her a crybaby, because sometimes she seems to start weeping and sobbing for no good reason. Beyond her power and abilities as a holy caster, Louise is surprisingly clumbsy and a bit of a klutz. She'll sometimes walk into obstacles, trip over things, others or herself, drop things at inopportune times and so on. She's also quite bashful and gets both shy and embarrassed when things of a raunchy nature are brought up, performed infront of her or, gods forbid, done to her. She also really, really likes cute things, like small animals, stuffed toys, flowers and (well-behaved) children. The banshee is also prone to making terrible puns or awful jokes, which she herself seems to find very amusing and will often end up giggling profusely at... In a strangely cute dead-pan sort of way... Background: Louise Gallante was born a fair bit of time ago, in a land called Lacourl. She doesn't like speaking of her past much more than taht, saying only that she had a rather strict upbringing that involved a lot of religion. She travelled a lot after her studies and training was complete, aiding the needy and helping those who suffered as best she could. However, after years of wandering and seeing the pain and misery that humanity brought upon itself and others, she slowly became more and more disillusioned with her faith and her purpose. And, after a particularly gruesome incident, which she refuses to speak of, she underwent a complete monsterization, turning into the banshee shhe is today. She came to Lady Kyouko's aid, after having learned about the imminent invasion by the forces of Varjo. How or where she learned about this is a mystery, but it is likely she overheard it while traversing Zipangu, or perhaps while on the coast of the western continent. Regardless, she's taken it upon herself to come and lend herself to Shizuyama and the ryuu. [sub]"Hello, nice to meet you, I'm Louise Galleate.
