There were no doctors currently in the room with Lily and Jila, and the room was silent due to this except for the beeping of the machines. After a long [i]six minutes, fifty-four seconds, and 302 milliseconds[/i], Jila's finger twitched. It was the only motion until her eyes slowly blinked open into the white. There was bright white everywhere. Then blackness. Then she slowly blinked back into the whiteness. The white was too bright. She tried to close her eyes, to return to the blackness of sleep. But she couldn't close them completely. She groaned softly- barely there.
