This looks cool. Gonna drop this here really fast. I should have this finished up in about a day or two. WIP Name: Augustus Teach Crowns Race: Baseline Human (allegedly) Age: 36 Earth Years
Crowns is of a swarthy persuasion with sharp and angular facial features and carries a firm and well-built frame that has been honed and hardened by years of rigorous physical activity. He stands 5'10, weighs 192 pounds, and—on account of an improperly-calibrated and ill-fitted below-knee prosthesis—tends to favor his left leg when walking or running. Crowns' daily attire is both minimalistic and casual. In the rare instances where he does don an undershirt, he can be commonly seen wearing a ragged and faded sleeveless example with an image of a large softball on the front and the words "Northville Shakers, 2096 Terrence County Champions" encircling it. A set of gnarled desert hiking boots protect his feet, a pair of weathered and slightly-oversized ferrosi field pants cover his lower-half (the pants are held to his waist by way of an unassuming velcro belt), two S-GAF Frontier Army dog tags dangle around his neck, a silver watch decorates his left wrist, and a pair of authority sunglasses are usually tucked into either the collar of his t-shirt or in the leftmost breast pocket of his (usually) unzipped combat vest. Scruffy, conflicted, and unkept wholly sums up this man's wardrobe, but those who do know him well enough have taken note of Crowns' staunch subscription to proper hygiene and good grooming practices. He is always clean-shaven, has a perfect set of teeth, and is rarely (if ever) seen with a dirty face.
Key Personality Traits and Quirks Cosmopolitan Crowns has toured his fair share of alien worlds during his stint in the S-GAF Frontier Army. Having experienced a myriad of alien cultures and interacted with all types of people throughout his travels, he is quite privy to socializing with virtually anyone regardless of their economic, racial, or religious background, and will integrate almost seamlessly into any squad regardless of its member composition. Gung-Ho Crowns was notorious amongst his old army buddies for having a bombastic "let's get it done" attitude towards life. Truegrit, teamwork, and a splash of positivity (of which should be delivered in the form of bizarre and outlandish speeches to distressed allies) are the core tenants Crowns lives by when trying to complete any sort of group-based objective. The following was likely tongue-in-cheek when he initially said it, but Crowns asserts that there is no challenge that five guys armed with cheap combustion guns and what he affectionally calls "the juice" cannot overcome. Equipment and Skills:
M-110 Armor System A lightweight ballistic armor vest and combat helmet pairing that has served Crowns’ needs for the past twenty years. The vest incorporates non-Newtonian fluid technology, high-strength shaped nanocomposite trauma plates, an ablative army-green paint job, and layers of diamond-impregnated ballistic weaving into its overall construction to provide protection against most intermediate modern small arms threats and explosive fragmentation. The M-110 is widely considered by most contemporary militaries to be quite "old-fashioned" in an era where powered armor systems are quite normalized, yet it still remains quite popular with humanoid S-GAF reserve forces, galactic frontiersmen, smaller private military contractor outfits, and civilians due to its technical simplicity, excellent affordability, and combined weight of a mere 5.5 pounds. Crowns' M-110 kit shows signs of decades worth of use and DIY repair work. In addition to the various utilitarian modifications that he has made to it over time (namely the additional carrying straps and pockets that he has haphazardly sown to the armor's outer and inner cowling), Crowns' M-110 vest sports the well-worn stylized image of a devilish African lion's visage on its back with the words "601st Roaring Demons Division: First In; Last Out; Forever Forgotten" crudely etched directly above it.

Mountain Song A monstrous hunting rifle of masterful craftsmanship gifted to Crowns by a poor Azu family as a reward for his role in delivering them from the clutches of Outer Rim slavers. Crowns doesn't know its precise age, but the weapon is undoubtedly from a less civilized time in Anuku's history if its outward appearance is anything to go by. Mountain Song's wooden furniture is deeply darkened, scratched, and badly pitted; damaged portions of the weapon's stock and handguard are held together with steel staples and metal bands. Fading Azu tribal runes adorn the length of its barrel and its receiver while an elaborate circular feather charm is fixed to the rifle's butt by way of a large rusted hose clamp and a discolored zip-tie. In spite of its disheveled appearance and poor condition, Mountain Song still fires as true as the day it was originally forged (whenever that was) and has never failed to cycle a round in the 20 or so years that Crowns has religiously used it to slay man, beast, and alien alike. In terms of sheer power and effective range, Mountain Song has a lot in common with a 21st century .50 caliber anti-material rifle, but differs from its ancient Earth-native predecessor by being lighter, much more portable, and offering its wielder superior full-auto controllability by employing a foregrip, a muzzle brake, and a hydraulically-actuated recoil buffering system that runs the weapon's entire length. Given that Mountain Song was originally intended to hunt the armored ultrafauna of Anuku's inhospitable jungles, it should come as no surprise to anyone at all that it is devastatingly effective against even the strongest of personal armor systems and is fully capable of threatening even lightly-armored vehicles with frightening ease. This weapon is a fairly "new" addition to his arsenal, having been taken off the corpse of a local water purifier technician named Terrence Grey who got into a heated disagreement with Crowns circa four years ago. The exact details on what happened between the two men are still somewhat murky today, but one witness who claims to have overseen the altercation between Grey and Crowns recalls there being harsh words being exchanged between both men regarding money and a woman, a punch being thrown, and the characteristic sound of a conventional high-caliber rifle being discharged. When local authorities arrived on the scene to investigate, Grey lay dead on the ground and Crowns was nowhere to be found. Aside from a few scratches along its frame, a ported barrel, and a handgrip graced with extra padding, the weapon possesses no noteworthy aesthetic features or modifications. It rests in a crude Buscadero-style holster rig that Crowns made using sections of scrap ballistic nylon and thin sheets of junk steel for rigidity and structure. While Mountain Song may sometimes be stowed away in a weapons locker somewhere, Crowns is never seen without this weapon on his person. Action: double-action revolver Mass: 5.4lb Sights: adjustable open iron sights Cartridge: .47 HR (400 gr projectile) Muzzle velocity: 1,900 feet/second Capacity: 6 Muzzle energy: 4,300 joules (roughly) Feed system: 6-shot cylinder Misc Weapons 2X Fragmentation Grenades 1X Smoke Grenade 1X Flash Grenade 1X Combat Knife

Damn Good Shot Crowns' chief role within the S-GAF Frontier Army was that of the designated marksman. While his skill with long guns doesn't quite place him on the same level as that of a modern S-GAF sniper, he is perfectly capable of spotting and attacking targets from intermediate ranges with accurate fire from his rifle despite the weapon having no optics to speak of. The weapon's high-velocity and high-caliber projectiles also give Crowns the ability to threaten lightly-armored vehicles, suits of assault-grade powered armor, and mechanized walkers from respectable ranges. Soul of the 601st Although the 601st was an underequipped and undertrained reserve unit within the S-GAF Frontier Army, it would prove its worth when it desperately resisted and barely defeated a numerically and tactically superior force in the single most pivotal battle of the Second Azu-Man War. 9,873 men, their names disregarded by an inefficient careerist military bureaucracy, would die to secure that victory for Lieutenant General Terence Arthur and the S-GAF Frontier Army leadership as a whole. As one of the few remaining members of the 601st alive today, Crowns still embodies much of his old division's collective persona. He is almost unfazed by hardship, he possesses an amazing measure of passion and perseverance, and he will not break rank even when presented with a seemingly invincible foe. Fear is an almost alien emotion to him, and the thought of yielding to anyone or anything without giving it his all is tantamount to blasphemy. Self-Sufficient Soldier While his sidearm's ammunition is easily sourced using local supply channels, the exotic cartridges used by Mountain Song are impossible to find at a Tryliin ammunition depot or gun shop, and so must be hand-crafted and reloaded by Crowns himself if the rifle is to see continued use. Years of creating his own primers, powder, casings, and projectiles has made him a solid ammunition reloader; not trusting anyone else but himself to maintain his arms and armor has made him quite the conventional gunsmith and body armor technician as well.
