In the seemingly safe office, Fenna handed Clarissa the cube when she asked to see it and watched her examine it. When Clarissa asked about where they got the cube, Fenna named the village and told her about the skeletons and ogres and how the cube had gotten into her possessions, and she added a warning that some kind of water ninja wanted to have it as well, although she wasn't sure the intrigued woman was paying much attention to what she said as her eyes were glued on the cube. 

Fenna couldn't answer the second question, but now that she didn't need to focus on scouting ahead and dealing with wolves on their way to the Mazy Hillocks as they crossed the territory of two wolf packs, then traversing the treacherous Mazy Hillocks and fighting three different enemies back to back, she remembered something that happened that morning, although it seemed ages ago after all the fighting since then. After she had first made their group aware of the wolves, Lilliana had also shared a concern, although at the time it was less pressing than the immediate dangers around them, and while she had heard it, it had been pushed to the back of her mind. 

She turned to Liliana. "Didn't you say you thought you knew what it was and who made it when we were on our way to the Mazy Hillocks?"
