Akira and Andrea
Advancing forwards with the others, Akira made sure to stay covered as much as possible--since the evacuation had gone smoothly, her only reason for being here was to make sure that Andrea remained here, and perhaps act as demon bait as the only soft and available target. A thought that she didn't relish in the slightest, no matter how weak their enemies might have been. Take these horrible canid-man things. What did she want to do? Run in the opposite direction, preferably using the construction site as shelter where possible until she could get out of the denial field to safety. Instead, she was cowering behind the newbies and hoping they were as competent as they were confident. That was when her preferred human shield made her return, one of the Beasts' heads simply evaporating in a sudden lance of actinic light, the rest of the carcass dropping bonelessly and rapidly starting to dissolve away into nothingness. Beside it, sharp nails punctured the chest of the second, a gore-coated arm punching out from behind. It, too, started to dissolve, revealing a bored-looking Andrea who hopped away from the long arm taking a swing at her. "The Gate is just ahead," the demon stated, voice low and smooth, more suited for a lounge or a bedroom than a monster on a battlefield, "These are the only enemies thus far."
