[@Aeolian] Thats fair on the art, it is more of an inspirational exercise than anything for me lol. As to his family, perhaps his moms locked away for killing his also unsavvory dad and he has been brought under the care of an elder in his linage(possibly being the only reason he has been allowed in). I fully expect his estrangement from toxic mommy dearest will be great for letters to the slammer, or his possible disciplinary future. 

His gift would be like the air elementals from Riddick at high-tier usage; only as he grows older and more powerful his will ignite😎. Intangibility and AreaofEffect pyrotechnics maybe? Collaboration on backstories is always welcome btw
