Taegan is a tall lanky young person. They stand at 6’3” and towers over many others. They have slender build with slight muscle definition that they maintains for cosmetic reasons. They have a heart shaped face with soft features that could convincingly belong to a man or a woman. They wear makeup to contour their face to emphasize their masculinity or femininity depending on their whims. Their hair is blonde and kept in a short bob normally. Sometimes they’ll wear wigs if they want to experiment with different hairstyles. Their fair skin complexion perfectly complements their clear and striking blue eyes. Notably, Taegan has no body or facial hair, further enhancing their androgynous appearance.

Sometimes Tae presents masculine, some days Tae presents feminine, but most days Tae presents androgynous. Either way Taegan sees themselves as beautiful, and sees no reason why others shouldn’t also. Taegan has a passion for fashion and enjoys wearing a wide range of clothing styles. They particularly favor robes, tunics with tights, fancy suits, and pretty gowns. However, one commonality across their wardrobe choices is their preference for expensive garments. Taegan exclusively wears the finest silks and fabrics money can buy, considering anything less to be offensive to their sense of style and self-expression. Sitting atop of their head is a crown of gold leaves, symbolizing their noble status and personal flair.

Personality: Taegan is a character with high status and a sense of entitlement. They are proud of their noble background and never hesitates to showcase their prestige. They exude an air of wealth through their clothing and demeanor, expecting nothing less than the best in everything they encounter. Anything less would just be insulting. Taeral tends to look down on commoners, finding them boring, but understands that it is their duty to guide and rule over them to improve their lives.

Naturally inclined to leadership, Taeral takes charge of situations and knows how to command attention and respect through their persuasive speaking skills. They find joy in being in control and imposing their will on others. They often dismiss alternative ideas, believing that their own are superior. However, they struggle to handle challenges to their ideology and become defensive when faced with opposition. Taegan’s concern for others is primarily based on their usefulness and cooperation towards shared goals, and they quickly move on from relationships once they no longer serve a purpose.

Despite their excessive confidence and elevated status, Taegan carries a deep sense of loneliness. While they have a close connection with their goddess, it fails to fulfill their longing for true friendship. Taegan secretly wishes that others would naturally gravitate towards them as a natural ruler, but they often find it difficult to establish genuine connections due to the conflicting demands of leadership and friendship. They yearn for one true friend but struggle to strike a balance between their position of authority and fostering meaningful companionship.

History: Taegan’s upbringing a member of the influential Granlock family provided them with privileges and opportunities that many others did not have. From a young age, Taeral was immersed in the teachings of their noble lineage, learning everything from etiquette and manners to the religious beliefs centered around their Goddess. However, it was the study of magic that truly captivated Tae’s interest, and they spent a significant amount of time delving into books on the subject.

Outside of their studies, Tae struggled to fit in socially. They rejected traditional gender norms and did not conform to being solely identified as a boy or a girl, which led to others viewing them as strange and weird. The resulting teasing and name-calling deeply affected Taegan, causing them to retreat further into their studies and their connection with the Goddess. The Goddess became a source of solace and companionship, alleviating some of the loneliness they experienced.

Growing up in a noble family instilled in Taegan a sense of superiority, which they used as a defense mechanism to mask their loneliness. They looked down on commoners and rarely associated with individuals outside of their aristocratic circle. Taegan’s family encouraged this belief, emphasizing the noble's role in leading and guiding the common people toward righteousness. While Taeral desired to ascend to the priesthood, their motivation was not solely driven by a connection to the goddess but also by the desire for the power and influence that came with the title.

Taegan’s gift manifested early, at age 14. The couldn’t be happier. This was a sign from the Goddess that the path they were following was the right one, and they were destined for bigger and better things!

Gift: Tae is a light based elementalist. They can conjure blasts of light from their hands, and form protective barriers. Taegan also has the ability to cast minor illusions to confuse and deceive enemies.
