It was one of the factors he had considered before joining. However, he didn't understand why everyone had a hate on about their response to Genosha. They literally were in space when that happened. And it wasn't like Magneto and the others had sent them an invite. 

Ed has a lot he wants to say. But he pushes it away. Considering the options of just bubbling everyone and sending them away. Ed isn't usually a punch people type of person, maybe it is the eye roll that brings it out the desire.
