[INDENT]Even after three nights in the new bed, Alyssa couldn't fully express just how nice it was to be able to fully stretch out and starfish across the entire queen-sized mattress.

And the closet.

After living out of her suitcases for over a week, it was incredible to slide a door open and see uniforms neatly hung, waiting for her, as opposed to folded up in a footlocker at the end of a bunk bed. The biggest downside to all of this was still having to get up at the crack of dawn.

She was used to it, of course, the Foundation, not to mention her previous boarding schools had a regimented schedule. The best times however had been when she was outside of either institution, and she had been at home in California. Waking up early to catch the morning surf was rejuvenating, far more than the morning tea she was currently enjoying.

Despite the considerable downtown presented after Hyperion's attack, Alyssa had yet to venture across the island to explore the beach beyond the quick glimpse she had gotten from the cove during the funeral. She missed the feel of the Pacific crashing over her. The island had the ocean air, but it wasn't the same as Laguna Beach.

Buttoning up her blazer, Alyssa finished getting ready. Placing her textbooks into her bag, she started across campus towards the Mess Hall, arriving just ahead of a couple of students. Behind her, Layla Schade and Noah Gallager appeared nearly simultaneously before the blonde girl who had been in a wheelchair prior to the events of the Team Swap arrived. Behind Alyssa, another new member of Team Eclipse arrived, looking around briefly before addressing Alyssa.

[color=fd211f]"Did everyone decide to sleep in today, or am I just early?"[/color]

Alyssa giggled at the comment before responding.

[color=#FF9F36]"I guess so, perhaps they're not accustomed to the early wake-up time yet? I know a lot of students value their sleep, especially coming off a weekend. I think I do my best thinking in the morning, there's something beautiful about rising with the sun. Especially with a good tea."[/color] Alyssa rambled, holding up her own mug, the strong smell of peppermint evident.

[color=#FF9F36]"Alyssa Townsend,"[/color] She added, extending her free hand, [color=#FF9F36]"You're Suzanna Poots right? New transfer to the Hyperhuman Enforcement Accelerated Training program? What made you want to change?" Her gaze drifted from Suz, towards the three faculty members, resting particularly on the dishevelled-looking Jim. Her expression soured slightly before turning back to Suz and continuing to speak.

I've never been particularly fond of my abilities, but I am looking forward to exploring them in a safe environment.
