The Incorrigible Iceburn!
Interactions Viktor
Pei drummed her fingers on the shipping container. Her outfit and general...pinkness and blueness didn't really lend itself very well to staying blended in. Fortunately her outfit was always black in color. Now it had blue outlines and symbology instead of pink, and Pei had even dyed her hair a dark blue for the mission using temporary dye that would wash out after a couple of showers. But her skin was still a light blue and her top was still cropped and sleeveless. Just how it had to be! However, this outfit was made much more tactical by the addition of a utility belt around her hips with a few pouches. Viktor answered her questions succinctly and without much dialogue. That left Iceburn to do most of the talking. To her credit, she kept her voice to a low whisper the entire time. "So. You ever been on a stakeout before?" "Have you ever been to a steak restaraunt before? I know this really delicious place back in Coast City." "Can you see easily out of that thing?" "Ice and Rain. With our powers combined, we are: Sleet!" "Fuck, Marry, Kill...nevermind." "See the Big Dipper? Yeah, I can't either." "This seems like a stupid mission for like an entire team to be on. Is it just me?" "What do you think they're talking about? 'Grr, I'm a big scary gangster. I kick puppies.' 'Oh, yeah? Well, I burnt down an orphanage!' 'That's nothin'! I drink milk right from the jug and put it back in the fridge.' 'What the hell's wrong with you?! Get him!' "I can picture you meditating at the bottom of a river holding a heavy stone in each hand." "I'm not annoying you, am I? I don't want to chase my team partner off again." "I spy with my little eye...something...illegal." "...♫He's gotta be strong, and he's gotta be fast, and he's gotta be fresh from the fight~♫..." "Problem? What prob- oh crap!" At the sound of gunshots, Iceburn paradoxically pushed herself onto her hands and knees to get a better look at what was going on, while Viktor shifted a few inches back. When Viktor said recon only, she turned at him and grinned a little. "Yeah, that's what he said: ReCoN oNlY!" She made her voice nasally and stupid. "He said it just like that, in that exact tone of voice. What did you wanna do, Rain? We obviously can't sit back and watch people die." She said. Sensing his interfering intent, she almost vaulted off the edge, but Rain told her to wait, so she did. At the mention of someone getting hit with a stray bullet, she pressed her lips together in contemplation. "Well, we gotta find 'em. I'm with you." As he jumped off the crate with confidence, Iceburn glanced down at the considerable distance below. It was big enough to sprain an ankle if she messed up the landing. The chances of that were low- she was good on her feet. But... not non-existant. That would be no good. And though gunshots were going off, her powers weren't exactly subtle. When he looked back up at her, she knew they were on the exact same wavelength! "Catch me, Rain!" She rolled off the side. There was a brief drop in her stomach before she landed safely in his super serumy arms. She hopped out, her boots hitting the floor. "Xiexie! Now, let's go." She said, before going into a low profiled run. "Forget the mission objective!" Iceburn repeated. "Let's get shit done." With Viktor's lead, the pair managed to find the injured civilian. Iceburn lowered her voice a bit and spoke more boldly. "Don't worry, sir! The good guys are here!" She said, moving over to assist him. She blasted some Misty Ice onto the ground that formed a five foot tall ice wall to protect from bullets. Then she looped his arm over her shoulder and guided him around the steel crate into more solid cover as the ice wall began to quickly crack and break due to the low amount of time she afforded it. "I got him, we got him, we got you." She said to everyone around her. Iceburn spoke to herself. "The three P's of first aid: Preserving life, preventing deterioration, and promoting recovery. " Letting out a breathe, she summoned the knowledge from those first aid classes she took. She bid the civilian to sit down against the crate. "I'm gonna treat your injuries. Then, just stay here until the shooting dies down a bit, okay? I don't wanna risk movin' you while you're still bleeding and the fighting is happening." Iceburn said to the civilian. Reaching into one of her utility belt pouches, she produced a green zipper bag with a big white plus on it. It was a first-aid back. She reached inside. "I gotta cut away your clothes a bit." She said. From her fingertips she produced an iceknife, and cut with extreme precision into his pants and shirt to isolate and reveal the wounds. "Oh, easy peasy! You'll be fine and dandy after some bed rest and tomato soup, I guarantee it." Iceburn said reassuringly, dismissing the ice knife. With that, she began treating the man's injury to prevent further bloodloss, cleaning the wound "This might sting a bit-" and using gauze to bandage them. But that would pre-occupy her for the time being.
