Metalcore sounds good to me, for your reference Tyler that includes bands like As I Lay Dying, (old) Bullet For My Valentine, Atreyu, The Word Alive, August Burns Red, Asking Alexandria, Crown the Empire, etc. Hopefully I named some that you know of or have listened to.

I like Harbingers, but that's cuz it has this nice 80's rock/metal feel to it. I am completely opened to other names though.

For my character I was thinking of having been in Hollywood for a couple years, drifting from band to band looking for a good fit so any of you guys could know me prior to the band in passing just from the scene but deeper than that we'll need to talk. For your story writing convenience I have already decided on a name: Matthew Pollaro.
