The Huntsman can tell that the men are being honest in the answers they gave the group. But he does notice that they are deliberately not saying what they would have done if the peasant refused to hand them the summons. He definitely gets the sense that they probably would have threatened, if not outright attacked, the peasant if he refused. These men are desperate, and it seems that they would have done anything. That is...until Ariel acted and the rest of the party followed.[/hider] The peasant in question is still in the diner, seeing and listening to all of this. Suffice to say, he looks shocked, and he is realizing that he was in danger just now.
