The world has been through a lot; years, even decades of catastrophic, world-ending events, from the rise of the malicious AI Ultron to the Destroyer of Worlds, Galactus, and everything in-between, but the world has always had heroes to stand up in the face of unimaginable adversity, with no other being more famous (and on a few occasions, infamous) than the Avengers, Earth's mightiest heroes. But in recent times, the Avengers have become a shadow of their former selves; after a confrontation with the Mad Titan Thanos, possessing the powers of the Infinity Stones, the whole universe was afflicted by an event called The Snap, where the Titan used the Infinity Stones to erase half of all life in the universe. Eventually, though, after several years, the heroes of Earth (and even beyond) were able to rectify this catastrophe...But not without its costs. Captain America finally hung up his shield, passing both it and his title to Sam Wilson, the Falcon, who had been a faithful companion of his as he fought in the 21st century. Iron Man, having been the one to finish off Thanos with the power of the Infinity Stones, nearly died from it; now he lies near-catatonic in a hidden S.H.I.E.L.D facility suffering from an unknown advanced form of cosmic radiation, slowly killing him, with their top scientists working on an answer to the malaise. In his absence, James Rhodes took back up the mantle of War Machine to fill the void where Stark once stood. Thor has left Earth behind after the events that transpired with Thanos, trying to grapple with the loss of his home, Asgard, as well as his own failings therein. Many other Avengers became estranged as well after the 'Infinity War', as it was, with some of them leaving the Avengers outright or taking a backseat after this latest crisis, for a myriad of reasons. The Hulk, who at this point had reached an accord with Bruce Banner and became the entity colloquially known as 'Professor Hulk', recognized the strain the Avengers were now placed under, with members leaving at a rapid pace. Thus, he came to a conclusion; the world would need to be prepared for even further dangers after the Mad Titan's assault, as the uneasy peace they held now wouldn't last. As such, with generous funding from STARK Industries courtesy of Tony's wife and current CEO of the company, Virginia 'Pepper' Potts, Hulk founded Avengers Academy, with the intent of training the next generation of superheroes to face whatever would threaten their world next. The Academy certainly had its work cut out for it, though....
Here it is; the Avengers Academy RP I promised everyone! But before I go leaping into character sheets and whatnot, let's go over a few ground rules here.

1: Respect Each Other - A simple rule, but that makes it the most important. I want everyone here to treat one another with respect at all times, since we want this to be a friendly, welcome environment. If there are ever any problems, too, don't be afraid to tell me, and I'll handle it to the best of my abilities.
2: No Godmodding - Also self-explanatory; your character isn't the center of the universe, and they sure as Hell aren't invincible (even if Superhuman Durability can make ya feel otherwise). It's important for characters to fail from time to time, and they'll be all the better for it. It's a lot more interesting to see someone fall and stand back up than always being on top. This also, of course, involves manipulating or outright controlling other characters against the will of their writers.
3: The Time Limit - Generally, I allow a grace period of about a week between posts from players before I bug ya 'bout it. If you respond and tell me what the hold-up is, then usually I'll be more than happy to extend the time a touch longer. However, after a longer delay, or a lack of response on your end, I'll likely assume you are MIA and have you moved out of the RP until further notice. So stay on top of things!
4: Hidden Rule - This ISN'T A RULE! HAHAHAHA! Nah, this is a secret lil' thing to prove you actually read this damn thing. Tell me your favorite Marvel character, hero or otherwise! For me, it's Moon Knight.
5: No Killing (Friendlies :) ) - Unless another player explicitly agrees to the idea, you are NOT to kill other player characters! This also is the general rule of thumb for named NPCs, both villains and heroes alike; be sure to ask me if you intend to try and kill them. Nameless mooks or the like though? Go wild! Though that could still have some consequences...
6: Have Fun! - Yep, this is MANDATORY! You better be having a good time with all our superhero antics, or so help me... >:C

Alright, boring ol' rules aside, it's time I give y'all the Character Sheet in all its glory! I'll be using hiders for the two major sections on the sheet, which I'll expect you to do the same; I'd also recommend using hiders for some of the larger sections of the main sheet as well to save some space for those scrolling through, such as the History or Powers sections. Annnnnnyyyyhoooo! Here it is!
[sub]Insert Character Art Here[/sub] [sub](Fancy text optional)[/sub] "Insert funny quote here."
Real Name: What your character's real, full name is. Age: What your character's age is - for the Academy, they should be around 15-22. Gender: I think this is self-explanatory? Alias/Nicknames: Your character's heroic alias, as well as any other nicknames they have; whether for their heroic alias or otherwise. Color Choice: What color you are using for your character's dialogue; for this sheet, it is silver. As shown before, you also use this color to mark each category here. Mostly for style points lol
Appearance: While technically handled by the character image that should be above, it's nice to have a little more; whether it be a written description or maybe another image or two denoting between their superhero attire and typical wear is up to you.
Personality: How does your character act? What motivates them? How much do they just really not like somebody? All of these are valid; this is the spot to flesh out how your character interacts with the world around them.
History: Your character's life story, as specific or vague as you'd prefer it to be (though if it's vague, I'll be expecting more details in PMs; it's my job to know stuff, after all).
Powerset: What kind of power(s) your character possesses. This can be ignored if your character has no abnormal powers of their own, as Equipment will have its own tab. I will also present an example here of how to lay out a powerset.

Superhuman Strength - Guy has Superhuman Strength, able to lift several tons and break through stone with his bare fists.
Superhuman Durability - Guy possesses Superhuman Durability, unable to be harmed by most conventional means, like bullets or blades.
Regenerative Factor - Guy can regenerate from most surface-level wounds within minutes, and broken bones and the like can repair within a few hours. Deeper damage, however, can prove more lasting.
Equipment/Paraphernalia: What kind of gear your character has; for tech-based heroes, this is where the meat of your powers will come from. For others, it might supplementary. This is also where you can put more minor objects and bobbins they carry on their person, like personal affects and the like. As with the Powerset, I will provide an example.

Gold Medal: Guy always keeps a golden medal he was awarded during his track days in high school.
Giant Hammer: Since Guy is extremely strong, he decided to use a massive hammer that would be completely unwieldy for most others to use.
Weaknesses: Weaknesses is exactly that; the flaws in your character, whether emotional, physical, or technological. Point out weak spots in their powers, character flaws that can be exploited, or vulnerabilities in their gear that could be detrimental. Like before, an example will be provided.

Arrogant: Guy has grown very self-absorbed due to his unbelievable strength and durability, making him easy to bait and anger by prodding his pride.
Hammer: Guy has become very reliant on his hammer, so disarming him makes him a far less competent combatant.
Simple Powerset: While Guy is strong and tough, that is all he is. There is little nuance to his powers, which means he's very simple to outmaneuver or predict.

Issue #0/Testing Post: Here, you'll design a post of your own, preferably 3-5 paragraphs long, utilizing your character (and any amount of NPCs you may want, though obviously I want the focus on your character), to see how they may play out as characters. It also serves as a good test for those playing canon characters, to see if you can grasp how they should act and feel.

Relationships
This section goes over relationships your character has in the roleplay, both with other PCs and NPCs alike, whether they be antagonistic, friend, familial, or even romantic. Also, Relationships will be sectioned off from the rest of the sheet, so as to save some space. As an aside, I'd also recommend you hold off on writing for relationships between other characters until your character has properly interacted with them; to save a bit of headache on the first write-through. Also, this section is technically optional when it comes to having your sheet accepted; but I'd like to see it worked on. :)
⟢ 🎆Respects ⟡ 🌓Neutral ⟡ 👋Acquaintance ⟡ 🙇It's Complicated ⟣ ⟢ 💛Friend ⟡ 💙Good Friends ⟡ 💜Best Friends ⟡ ❣️Ex-Friends ⟡ 😈Frienemy ⟣ ✨Roommate ⟢ 💘Crush⟡ 💓Loves ⟡ 💗Couple ⟡ 💕Basically Family ⟡ 💞Family ⟡ 💔Ex-Lovers ⟣ ⟢ ♨️Tense ⟡ 💀Dislikes ⟡ 😡Hates ⟡ 👿Enemy ⟡ 👹Absolutely Loathes ⟣ These icons will be used to help denote relationships (and were borrowed from the other Avengers Academy roleplay, all the power to those guys :D), and I'll make a few as examples below.

💀 Bruce Banner 💀 (You can either write it as a list, like presented here, or as a general description of their thoughts on the person in question; your choice! Also, if you feel like going the extra mile, you can add a quote from the character themselves relating to the character in question)

Guy misses the old Hulk; he smashes still, sure, but now it's way more boring.
Guy is also totally bitter than in spite of the fact they are the 'lamer' Hulk, they're still way stronger than he is.

💛 Doreen Green 💛 Guy thinks Doreen is pretty awesome; I mean, you have to be to make a name like 'Squirrel Girl' work. She's strong, hard-working, and cheery; they get along perfectly well.
