It didn't matter though. All Mac had to do was be a big enough pest that everyone turned their attention onto her. Then again, she couldn't afford to get too careless. She only had Oliver for backup and, while he was a sweet boy, she knew he wasn't invincible. They still didn't know how many mint agents were around, and Mac wasn't familiar enough with her opponents. Anja wasn't as frail as she had initially expected, and there was no reason to expect the next attack to knock her on her ass either. She blinked, and her third eye opened. The artifact likely had a way of seeing through illusions, given what they were loudly talking about, but it would be prudent to be sure before engaging. Oh, it was just as potent as her own third eye. If Mac tried to cast a spell, she'd know about it before it activated regardless of what it was. "Nice tiara, but one queen was already too much.” She didn't hide from her opponent. Mac rushed towards Anja, dragging her claws along the side of the truck as she did so. When Anja thrust, Mac swiped. Steel and claw rang out as they collided over and over. Mac was a tall "girl," but Anja's sword would allow her to engage just a bit sooner. It was evident to Mac that she was the stronger and faster of the two, but it wasn't like Anja was that much weaker. Moreover, it was obvious that like herself, Anja was something of an adept with her chosen weapon. She wasn't an easy opponent to fight. But Anja's real advantage was her numbers. Mac wasn't a fool. She was aware enough to realize a joint attack could come from everywhere. And sure enough, she could hear Seppa walking along the top of the truck over the sound of their weapons colliding. There was no getting out of this unscathed, so the best she could do was accept it and take the smallest loss she could. Anja had scored a few light cuts along Mac's torso, but her next thrust found purchase inside her shoulder and slid in deep. Mac grunted, but maintained enough focus to throw up an illusion. It had Anja running Mac through and pinning her against the side of the truck. While that played out, Mac grabbed a hold of Anja's wrist and trapped her blade inside her shoulder. She then forced Anja inside of her illusion, positioning her right where she would have been. Anja could detect illusions, but could Seppa? Did they even have the reflexes to course correct in time? She didn't expect a hammer blow to take out Anja, and fully planned on following up with a barrage of knees and elbows located at her most sensitive areas. But if Mac still got hit? Probably the same thing, only with a swollen shoulder. She didn't look that strong.
