Kijani smiled a bit at him. "Yeah, it was pretty good, wasn't it? I learned to sling insults from the best." Middle school with a bunch of preppy pre-teens could do that to a girl. "Never underestimate the power of psyching someone out. It didn't entirely work... and then when it did work he picked combination of things that'd freak me out." She shook her head ruefully. "You've got it in you too." She reached out and play-punched his shoulder. "I like a smart hero, myself. Superpower isn't the only power..." She got up slowly and brushed herself off. "I guess I'll go back now."
