He has neat brown hair kept in navy regulations, and striking green eyes that are almost overshadowed by the dark bags he has underneath his eyes. He has an incredibly lean frame, but that can often be hard to notice due to the large military coat he hangs over his shoulders. He keeps his gloves on at all times as they help hide the slight tremors his hands can be struck with at times of exhaustion. Without knowing of his condition one might think he has low confidence, but those preconceptions are often dashed after a good look at the withering glare that often emanates from his eyes. He wears the typical garb of an Empire admiral, other than he never wears the cap that is a part of the uniform.
{Equipment and Personal Belongings}
Uniform:Lorn is never seen outside his uniform, even when off duty. This includes the large coat he always has draped over his shoulder that is modified to have much better insulation than the standard issue coat for officers. This helps him stay warm and prevent a cold creep through his body due to his condition. He also keep handkerchiefs hidden in an inside coat pocket so the blood he coughs does not make a mess. The Aurora:A Venator 1 class Star Destroyer that serves as the admiral's flagship. The ship has many visible battle-wounds due to its many years of service, but she still is a rock-solid workhorse.
{Physical Abilities}
Unparalleled Tactician:Lorn has become a rapidly rising star in the Imperial navy with a string of victories ranging from impressive to near unbelievable. He is famous for launching lightning strikes against greater enemy forces on multiple occasion using the element of surprise to grasp victory. He has also been known to "field test" theoretical strategies in dire straits. Loss is a myth to Lorn so far in his military career. Inspiring Leader:In order to follow the admiral into impossible odds, one must either be crazy or believe that nothing is impossible with Lorn. The men and women that follow him believe just that. With their admiral victory is never out of grasp and defeat is but a myth. Whether it is an impassioned speech or the commanders actions itself, Lorn just know how to make his soldiers heart race. He famously carries no weapon on his person in a declaration that the day he has need of one, he would rather die with his crew. A cult of personality among the people who have served under him has begun to grow wherever he has commanded, infecting many younger servicemembers. Cutthroat Politician:Lorn's adoptive father knew all to well just how much of the galactic navy can be about politics, and he trained his son well. Lorn has been only playing this game for a few years, but he has become very good at making powerful friends, as well as making sure his enemies don't stay powerful for long. Burning Ambition:Lorn has lived with nothing, sometimes even less than nothing as mere property. He will never live like that again. He will never be stepped on by others again. And he can only take bowing to others a few more times. This ambition burns bright like a north star to likeminded individuals, and as a flashing warning to those who recognize the danger. This drive is what made him decline the bacta tank and keep serving in the navy. This ambition is what forces him into battles against terrible odds. This hunger is what has killed many of his subordinates. This need is why he wins, why he breathes, and why he keeps pushing. He will either stand atop this galaxy, or he will die trying.
{Limitations}
Deathly Sick:Ever since entering his twenties Lorn has developed some sort of medical condition that has made his health rapidly deteriorate. Where he was once a physical specimen due to relentless training, now a set of stairs can exhaust him. He has lost much of his muscle, but is also unable to gain any fat. He rarely sleeps and he is nearly constantly cold. When his exhaustion gets to him and can suffer tremors in both his hands and feet, and when he exerts himself physically he has a tendency to cough up blood. When this condition was discovered he was given either the option to spend 99% of his life in a bacta tank or give his short life for the empire. Lorn has decided he would rather be a short lasting super nova than a dormant red dwarf in this galaxy. Unchecked Pride:With as many successes as he has had in his short life it would be impressive if he hadn't developed an ego. Add on thousands who would willingly give their life for his, and a growing whisper that he is a hero of the empire. This is the perfect formula for Lorn to truly start believing that he is what everyone says he is. He believes he is almost always the smartest person in the room, and he is confident he has never been wrong about that belief. He will either stand atop this galaxy, or he will die trying.

{Personality}
Lorn above all else is a creature defined by ambition and drive. He pushes himself to his very limits, even if those limitations are the boundaries of death itself. His guaranteed early death has taken away nearly all fear of the reapers touch, only ignited a fire to achieve as mush as possible before his flame is extinguished. He is willing to give anything for even a single step towards his goals, and that is the great dilemma he is constantly confronted with. Even though his ambition consumes him, he is not a monster. Each dead soldier, civilian, or even enemy weighs on him greatly. He is no longer sure if his disease is the reason he can't sleep, or if it is his guilty conscience preventing him from relaxing. These deaths haunt him, but he just can't stop pushing forward. He himself truly doesn't know what gives him the ability to command others to die for his ambition, but he has never once hesitated. When in command he seems to be confident to a point of insanity to those who may be observing him. He never seems to waver or become nervous in the heat of battle, even when all seems lost. He is fairly charismatic and has the manners of one who has been raised to thrive in a politically charged environment. When in a more personal setting he virtually the same, except he has been known find incredibly random things funny.
{Place of Origin}
Lorn was born amidst the fighting on Ord Mantell, and his early life was a struggle to survive. He stole from imperials and civilians alike doing whatever he could to survive. This is eventually how he was press ganged into joining the imperial conscripts.
{Background}
Lorn was but one of many orphans pressed into service after the battle of Ord Mantell. He did not know who he was fighting or why, he was merely one of thousands who needed to survive by fighting for the Empire. He was disposable grunt meant to eventually die for his new emperor. Everything changed 12 years ago when his ship entered the Illum system along with many others. Many events of that day lie in shadow, but one vivid memory for Lorn is meeting Admiral Eltro Alcyorr. When the bridge took heavy damage the young conscript pulled the unconscious admiral to safety shortly before the viewing port caved in. Once Eltro learned of what happened after the battle he took in Lorn as his ward as thanks. He helped the shell shocked teen break out of his shell and paid for Lorn's education. A few short years later he officially adopted Lorn as his son and recommended him for the Imperial naval academy. This is where Lorn truly came into his own. In the academy Lorn discovered his aptitude for military tactics and quickly rose to the top of his class. His time in the conscripts had also helped prepare him for the relatively easy trials of the academy, so in quick time he had graduated ahead of schedule and was stationed on a patrol corvette as an aide. This only lasted for a short time before Lorn had his chance to show his worth. In a small skirmish where they were ambushed by pirates his captain was incapacitated and Lorn took command. Short work was made of the pirates, and the other officers of the crew recommend him for promotion. Normally this probably wouldn't have meant anything, but by this time admiral Eltro had become one of the senior officials in the Ministry of Defense and forced his promotion through. This began a theme of Lorn achieving a small string of victories then his promotion being forced through by his father. This has created a faction among the military who see Lorn as nothing but beneficiary of nepotism. As Lorn has reached higher ranks his father began to be unable to force promotions through, thus forcing Lorn to take more drastic actions. He has engaged overwhelming enemy forces quite a few times now knowing his senior officers can't ignore such incredible success. It was with his promotion to captain that he gained command of his flagship the Aurora and he has kept it as he maintained his meteoric rise. It was shortly after this promotion that his condition appeared and began to drain his strength. He initially took the reveal incredibly hard, but it has only forced him to push himself harder than he was before his diagnosis. Once standing for long amounts of time became to taxing, he installed a chair in the Aurora's bridge for him to rest in.
