Just to recognize some thoughts or mild issues I'm having:

It'll be hard for me to post next without it being a timelapse. He would have to make it back to his camp then go after them. So there would have to be enough time to have to get there, get supplies together, then go for them. 

It would be best to have them do something to approach the dusk/darker hours or set up a tent for the night. Giving me that timeline would help tremendously.
