Niallus Saberhagen

Abdel [@Yummyyummy] Niallus [@McKennaJ71] The Island it was. Abdel nodded. With a simple hand gesture, both his beasts joined his sides and followed him. They were earth creatures, but their natural environment was loaded with water. Swimming came naturally to the two, and they were fast. Abdel rode the one with the bridle, Dayanara, until they reached the Island where he dismounted. “Ready?” he asked Niallus as he dried up with a quick arcane-based heat release from his pores. “If you showed as much willingness to fight for your friend as you do to defend your trinket ...” he quietly snarled. After shaking off the water around them, the Skuggvars were given the subtle order to see Niallus as the enemy. They began to circle around him while Abdel stayed a good few yards away. Niallus gritted his teeth at Abdels response. With the Skuggvars circling him. He knew this wasn't going to be easy. "You've changed Abdel, I'm surprised that you didn't try to run away, like you did in the caves with the Titanbloods. " he snarled. Abdel was ready, so was Niallus, he casted Hungering Shield. “Making good use of that sword.” Abdel remarked. “I really hope it was worth it.” First off was Qadira, circling Niallus with her tail pounding the ground every few steps. Then, it swung, hurling quills toward the Eskandish. Niallus paid no mind to Abdel watching Qadira attack from the side; he used Kinetic to try and avoid it. Abdel canted his head as he began to pace too, following Dayanara's cadence right behind her. He was just tall enough to see over her tail and keep a keen eye on Niallus. Then, he began to form earthen padding around his Skuggvar to enhance her power and durability via Binding Dayanara glared at the identified enemy. Then she stopped, while Qadira continued. Suddenly she charged Niallus in a burst of speed one wouldn't expect from such a bulky creature, aiming to ram him to the other side of the pond. Seeing Qadira charging towards him Niallus began to Draw in Arcane, for an Arcane lance, once it formed he began to feed chemical magic into it then went to throw it at Qadira. Niallus was rammed, the lance striking part of Dayanara's armour but failing to make her even flinch. Luckily, the Eskandish unit of a lad only hit the edge of the island and could quickly get back on his feet. After being hit. He knew this wasn't going to be easy but still he was feeling the frustration. His real target was Abdel, not his pets Using Kinetic magic he attempted to use a kinetic shockwave to hit Abdel. Abdel will use a mix of arcane and chemical to make a small explosion under his feet to propel himself out of the way. Luckily for him, he aimed to land toward Qadira. The shockwave jiggled her blubber, prompting her to look quite cross. In retaliation, she unleashed a large glob of corrosive and flaming mucus at the annoying insect of a man. Seeing the mucus coming towards him Niallus tries to counter with Chemical to stop it from hitting him. The glob exploded prematurely, but still hit Niallus head-on, scorching his drip and pushing him into the water behind him before he could actually burn. “... Uhm, you okay?” Abdel called out, losing a bit of his initial steam after seeing the devastating reaction of his Skuggvar. He did NOT order her to do that! Niallus slowly climbed out of the water back into the circle. He was in bad shape. Even standing back up was challenging as he was swaying back and forth a few steps almost ready to fall over. "What's wrong? Feeling sympathetic to me now?" Niallus remarked. “I don't want to kill you, you know.” Abdel crossed his arms, still close to his armoured Skugg. “You're a coward that acts like some sort of teddy bear, so we let our guard down. I don't feel safe with you around me. But I don't hate you.” he sighed, gesturing, for Qadira to back off from the shore in case Niallus wanted to swim back. “Concede and we're done.” "I do feel guilty, I can't deny that. I did something that I can never take back." lifting his head up to look Abdel in the eyes. "I had to choose between Dragon Smirk and all of you. This is something that I cannot atone for.". Coming to terms with it he did. He knew this would eventually happen. Abdel scowled. “It was not just between us or Dragon Smirk, Niallus!” shouted the younger teen. “It was between the man that trusted you and some crazy monkey sanguinaire!” then, he scoffed. “And it was for that sword. I know it was. Honey-coat it all you want.” he shook his head, his now incredulous. “Not even an ounce of mercy shown, just to save your own skin.” Niallus threw the helmet, it landing just in front of Abdel. Then he threw the sword away. "I don't care about the helmet, I don't care about the sword. I don't deserve any of you as my friend, more importantly I don't deserve her." he is so weak that he can barely draw. He looked at Abdel once again. "Then do it. Put me down like the traitor that I am." he shouted to him. Both items stopped right before hitting the ground or water, held afloat by Abdel's magnetic powers. They were both brought ashore. He then glared at the defeated man. “No.” he said with as much venom as possible in his voice. Then, he took his time to pick up the sword, dragged it uncremoniously to Niallus and planted it right before the Eskandish. “You're going to live with this. And this will be your constant reminder. Use it. Profit from it. Take advantage.” a detached look was all that Abdel could must. “It is what you've earned. What you deserve.” Then, he turned around to return to his beasts. The helm was placed onto the head of Qadira, and the straps stretched and elongated via binding. It looked incredibly silly. Soon, Abdel would leave the island on the back of one of his beasts, letting Niallus alone with his demons. Some more literal. Niallus opened his mouth to speak, nothing came out, instead he just fell, it seemed he finally reached exhaustion. He collapsed to the ground unconscious, hitting the ground with a thud and didn't move. His breathing was weak. But he was alive, only just. Ingrid flew over the water to tend to his wounds, not saying anything. What could she say? He's hurt in a way she can only just be there for him.
