Name: Nocturne Game Origin: Lamplighters League Personality: Nocturne is the broken shell of the late Dr. Elsa Reis and the lady that she was has been fractured into a simpler caricature. She is rather emotionless in her tone and words. You wouldn’t find her expressing anger with tense body language or joy with things like laughter. Essentially, she is emotionless. Yet despite this monotone expression, she is still capable of feeling emotion, but she can’t easily express it. Instead, her emotion tends to come out in musical expression, namely humming. She isn’t quite forward or obvious despite her usual direct to the point responses. Her words can twist suddenly into abstract, poetic language that seems she’s reciting lines of play that has long been forgotten. Background: “To go where no woman or man has gone before.” That was the idea at least. Dr. Elsa Reis sought to prove the other side, or alternate universes, existed but due to the limits of understanding on wavelengths and light, mankind could never see the other side even if they were looking right at it. It wasn’t just a limitation of mankind but also a limitation of their universe. We could only ever see the shadows that these realms projected, like the means of magic granted by the Tower in her world. If magic was granted by a mere shadow, imagine what you could do with the actual light… Dr. Elsa Reis worked on a device capable of sending her to the Tower and she was driven for her results by any means. Funded by the Banished Court, a nefarious group who planned on using her research for their own ends, Elsa built her device and plunged to the other side only… it didn’t go as planned. The woman that had left this world was overwhelmed by the radiant existence on another plane, returning only in part as a shell of her former self. From brief moments of clarity, Nocturne can only theorize what had happened, that maybe Elsa was left behind and is still there. Her soul trapped while her body had to return. Perhaps Elsa is better off but one thing is for sure: Elsa was gone, but Nocturne was here to stay. In a rare time of motivation, Nocturne tried to find Elsa. Reconstructing the device that sent Elsa beyond but only this time, Nocturne was taken elsewhere. The radiant experience was something different, owned by an individual being: Galeem. It was like a moth to a flame and Nocturne was pulled in. Specialty: Saboteur Level: 1 Experience: 0/10 Powers:
I. Shocking Skirmisher

Nocturne is immune to Electric damage due to her suit and altered biochemistry. When she is struck by electricity or when she activates her suit, she becomes Charged for a brief time. When Charged, her Volt Gun recharges instantly and her other suit powers are overcharged to have greater effects. Volt Gun: Fires a powerful electrical projectile that applies a stunning shock to enemies and can apply a Shocked status effect for damage over time. Spectro-Suit: Durable suit that provides Nocturne with survivability in void or empty realities. Harnesses electricity to power the suit. When Charged, applies a Shocked on contact.

Strengths:

Top Mind - While Dr. Elsa Reis was the brilliant spectrophysicist, Nocturne does retain that knowledge somewhere in her head. When moments arrive for her to put her brain to work out a solution to any issue she may face, it will come out in flashes of brilliance that she can’t control.
Inventor - One of the few intellectual attributes of Nocturne’s former self that hasn’t become scattered. While she can’t explain how she knows these things, she can inspect devices and understand a great deal on how they work, how to repair, and possibly even how to replicate.
Dead and Back - Nocturne is not technically living, nor is she dead. She just is. Pain is relative, danger is subjective. She is always fighting fit, tireless, and resilient. Any sort of scanners set to detect a normal living being would also have issues noticing Nocturne.
Weaknesses:

Scatter Brained - Nocturne’s brilliance is present but fragmented, as if her mind is a collection of film reels cut up and reattached. She might not even remember a thought she had a few seconds ago. In the truest sense, she is a ditz without any of the colorful charm of the usual type.
Grounded - Damage/Condition susceptibility to earthen, rubber, or other electricity dampening abilities.
Spirits: (See Spirits section for details. Start with none) None. Inventory: Guest List: Trace Marteau - The American Inventor from Nocturne’s world. A man who ended up stealing Elsa’s legacy from Nocturne and a face she remembers.
