Kalmar
The Father of Beasts. The Watcher of the Woods. The Wanderer by the River. The Spear in the Dark.[sup][/sup] Domain The Hunt
The Hunt is an integral part of nature. It keeps populations in check and encourages competition between life forms, forcing them to become stronger or risk extinction. At its core, to hunt is to track and kill - sometimes for food, sometimes to safeguard territory, and sometimes for sport - but ideally never with disrespect. This seems simple, but in truth it has a wide array of applications. First and foremost, Kalmar himself is an unparalleled tracker - to the point where he instinctively knows his quarry has been somewhere even if they leave no signs of their passage. He also has the ability to enhance tracking capabilities in beasts and mortals. Whether that be by enhancing their perception, increasing their speed, or making them better at sneaking. If it can aid an individual in their hunt (and this hunt need not necessarily take place in nature) Kalmar can enhance it. Similarly, Kalmar may just as easily grant a creature abilities which make it harder to hunt. Kalmar also carries a natural affinity with creatures of the wilderness. Most animals will recognize him as an apex predator on sight, instinctively knowing that to either fight or flee from him is folly, and instead opting to bow or show some other form of deference. He is also capable of communicating with such creatures. He can use his domain to either create or enhance beasts of various forms, so long as tracking, hunting, or killing are an integral part of their life. He may even grant creatures the ability to change their form.

There are four forms that Kalmar most commonly uses. His first form is an athletic humanoid that varies between six and seven feet in height, with pointed ears, wild blond hair, green eyes, and a bushy moustache. His second form is a large wolf, his third form is a griffin, and his fourth form is that of a quadropedal apelike creature. These also forms vary in size - usually whatever he deems most efficient for a given situation. They may be as small as a common forest creature or as large as a building.
Description Beyond his physical appearance, Kalmar usually projects the aura of a master hunter and an apex predator. No matter how calm he presents himself, he always seems to be alert and ready to spring into action at a moment's notice. Thus, mortals and animals in Kalmar's presence may feel a sense of respect, unease, and even fear unless Kalmar chooses to restrain this aura. Kalmar's emotions are hard to read, and his manner of speaking usually comes across as blunt and to the point. Those who attempt to understand Kalmar beyond the surface will discover that he considers himself something of a balancer. He teaches that death is a grim-yet-necessary component of nature, but one that must never be delivered in excess. One should be careful in what they hunt - taking care not to drive vital species to extinction, never disrespecting one's kill, and never making the process more painful than it needs to be.
