Okay, 
After reading all of the posts and doing my research. 
I'm still very, very confused, haha. But excited? Concited? No?

I have a character in mind, but have trouble placing her to where the current characters are, though Estylwen already gave some ideas (thanks!)
I'm thinking of a biologist, probably a laboratory worker but one who's top of her game (dark energy?) She has a military background due to her father, maybe? In any case, I was thinking she may be deaf or hoh but has an augment in her retina that puts IRL subtitles for her, and signals where sounds come from etc. So it won't be a real 'problem'. That and, the retina augment allows her to see really well, such as [i]zoomin' in[/i]. 

I was thinking she may be in debt because of getting this, which would maybe be a reason for her to go to wherever she's sent, because she was offered money. 

So she could be offered money by the Hive but would turn against them after having seen things at the facility, or like saw what happened to Nick? Or, she works for Voidlight laboratories and maybe the Vice President or something sends her in? (Dragon is lowkey smexy and maybe my char would do it for him or something idk)

Questions: How much of Hive's goal is clear here? Why were they testing on 3 and Nick?
What is Voidlights goal?

Fair warning, it's past midnight and I'm just rambling. Maybe I have a clearer idea tomorrow.
