Unlike most shinobi of his age and experience, he has no scars nor shows any signs of aging. Iroh appears in his early twenties if not late-teens despite his actual age. This has led to a lack of respect commonly given to Iroh. Iroh speaks in a voice that although is not entirely befitting of his size, is not exactly unnatural. Aside from his body-type, he has no notable features. Dark green eyes, dark brown hair and standing 5'10". When becoming a shinobi, he took to taijutsu - flourished as a matter of fact - but aside from that fell short in genjutsu and ninjutsu. The reality was that his taijutsu contrasted his other jutsu so greatly that despite them being average they seemed far below it. During his youth, Iroh was repeatedly told he would have to dedicate time and effort into his ninjutsu if he ever wanted to become a powerful shinobi. Many suspected that his entrance into the Second Great Shinobi War would be the end of him, as he was fool-hearty and used primarily taijutsu. They could not have been more wrong. Iroh excelled in combat and despite jumping into danger almost every chance he got not only survived but finished every battle stronger. Iroh opened up the doors to his elemental release, Earth Style, and afterwards developed a relatively basic style of nintaijutsu that made him a large threat on the battlefield. Coupled with his own taijutsu mastery and near-superhuman strength, Iroh rose through the ranks as quickly as he rose to the occasion of battle, and only took more experience from each fight. Iroh never earned a nickname throughout the Second Great Shinobi War and even the Reign of Sai as his feats were changing by the day, most simply being embellished rumors. Whether it was word of Iroh punching a hole in the Wall of Steel in Sunagakure or causing Earthquakes on the Amegakure front, Iroh made his name known. He made it even more known that he used nothing but brute force and only ever went in headstrong. Iroh is a success story, even if not a dramatic one. Alone, he managed to survive two wars literally jumping headfirst into every battle he could, and that alone has made him a living legend. As such a legend, he fought in the forefront of every major resistance battle and before that led a resistance in Iwagakure as a figurehead-type leader that fought off the oppression since it was started during the Second Great War. Iroh choose to join Konohagakure mostly due to the internal conflict he caused within Iwagakure. Many wished for him to take a spot in leadership while he never did like the idea. Iroh made a great general in battle, but a terrible speaker for the people - and he knew it. Konohagakure was home to many of the shinobi he called his friends after he joined their rebellion, so he felt it best that he avoid the political scene and join Konohagakure. Speak of him being the next Tsuchikage sent him into a distinct realm of fear. Before joining the resistance, Iroh led his own resistance inside Iwagakure made up of his people, which is the reason he was considered a political head inside Iwagakure. Before the coalition of resistance that formed the major resistance, Iroh had many conflicts with the Konoha resistance where he met his rival, Kyo. She was known as the Bamboo Sage and her style of fighting countered Iroh and his, while he was also essentially untouchable by hers. Having fought dozens of battles before joining forces, Kyo and Iroh became known as the Twin Sages, despite their lack of senjutsu. His rivalry with Kyo and thus psuedo-friendship with the Senju have played roles in his decision to join Konohagakure. [b]Personality[/b] Iroh is bull-headed and passionate about what he does. He has always been a "give it all or nothing" type of person and to this day remains such. Iroh is neither intelligent or unintelligent, but he severely lacks in forethought and fine-tuning. His idea of fun is forty-eight solid hours of sparring with the same person, possibly even stronger than him. Iroh is bluntly honest and hot-headed, even to the point of quickly resorting to violence to solve a problem. Iroh is not inherently prideful or egocentric; instead he is highly determined and blunt to the degree that it can be interpreted incorrectly. Although it is not necessarily a jutsu, Iroh keeps a majority of his sheer power and even muscle mass reserved. At any time, he can release what he has reserved, growing enormously in muscle bulk and raw power at no cost to him. The downside, however, is that in this state, the use of certain jutsu requires far more chakra although they are exponentially more powerful, meaning that this technique can eat away at his chakra reserves quickly. More over, the jutsu allows the user to absorb shockwaves and convert them to chakra, although they must be traveling through a medium and are limited when in air and liquid.
