Things had quickly taken a turn for the worse

He hadn't expected the boat to malfunction as such an expensive and notorious vehicle should have more than a couple of countermeasures and with the amount of attention that was placed on it the last thing the people running the tournament wanted was undue drama, having said that he knew that sometimes problems just appear without notice. But this was beyond his worst nightmares, the appearance of a syndicate was bad news -he made a mental note to make a pun about it on his report- and worse than that, the amount of civilians aboard the ship meant they could get injured, himself included.

Then the world decided that wearing aviator goggles was a bad idea, too many flashing heads made him turn his head to the side, it was almost like a firework had exploded in front of the other man, so violent was his turning that he would have fallen to the floor wasn't it for Razor keeping him steady.

After a couple of moments, he took off his goggles and opened his eyes once more to find the man he had previously helped on the floor with another man in front of him.
