Normally Caroline would have ignored the jibes and just walked away, and she would have done just that today if the insult was directed only at herself, but the girl had just insulted Elianst as a whole. Turning back towards her, the fear in Caroline's eyes was instantly replaced by cold determination, bordering on anger. She lifted the thin sword, the lightest blade available, and stepped into a ring. Never answering, and never taking her eyes off the challenger, she settled into a form almost as instinctual as walking, with one hand behind her back, the other holding her sword. A slight crackling in the air announced the arrival of Caroline's familiar. Spark was giving off enough electricity that Caroline's hair was starting to stand on end. "Hey, come on Carol, don't do this. You only have to win one more match to move on, so why don't you pick someone else and be done with it?" Caroline barely moved her eyes, but she simply said "I'll make her my last win." and turned her full attention back to her opponent. Spark gave off even more electricity, making small lightning bolts jump from him, then as quickly as he had appeared he had vanished. He knew that once Caroline got like this there was very little anyone could do to stop her.
