First fight are new blood, no real buzz yet - but you've been out of town a couple of weeks.
Wildcards are total unknowns, likely recent arrests.
Trant is a Spriggan who has never lost a fight, so now he just does displays where audience members can try to hit him and win a cash prize. No one has hit him yet.
Irulaan is a moderately famous fighter, Human, runs a gym in the city, generally well-regarded as a level-headed pillar of her borough. Damn near supernatural with a glaive.
Yarrick is the reigning champion of the last big tournament, heavily augmented, named for his extra-long mechanical arm tipped with an axeblade. So lacking in charisma it's said to have driven his manager to drink but he can certainly fight.
The arena attendant will answer any questions you have, with some embellishment.
