Cryptobiology. Not in an "I think it's all real" sense but more in the sense that as part of my fandom experience I REALLY enjoy thinking up a bunch of convoluted, pseudo-scientific reasons/explanations for why certain species in my favourite fandoms have certain physical traits or cultural practises. 

I spend WAY too much time thinking about it but it's so much FUN and I refuse to stop :lol
