I'm not one to pre-arrange romantic relationships in character or interest. I tend to have a habit of letting my characters write themselves but I have no solid foundation to say that Illa would get with anyone at all. Alpheus is the more romantic type and I doubt that he won't have little crushes on others or maybe show an actual interest in someone. Though neither of these characters will be pre-arrange with anyone else's characters. I enjoy the discovering of that in IC instead of forcing it from OOC discussions. In my experience, those have never worked for me because characters are written differently then how I expected they would write out, they change, etc. I'm completely fine with you wanting to cut off the OOC arrangement of having Illa as Mille's knight. I'm not tied to anything when it comes to having my characters paired with anyone. I'll enjoy the writing nonetheless.
Ah, I see, then either you misunderstood my words or I've written them poorly or both, nevertheless, what I meant by this:
I'm predicting speculations and rumors would arise regarding their relationship, such as: Russia is trying to secure its western borders by gaining an alliance with the Holy Roman Empire via marrying its crown prince with the HRE's princess.
Was people; the public, etc. assuming that they're being paired because of those political reasons. Even though:
As such, even though the truth may be that they're just two students who just so happened to be paired.
And nothing more, they just happened to be paired together through random chance, that is the fact, however, we as writers have the benefit of omniscient knowledge, not so much about people in-universe. Rumors easily spring up after all, especially in high society. However, even with all that said, your elaboration regarding Illa's personality and motivations tell me that he's not a suitable character for a plot based on rumors and socialization. So I just wanted to clear the misunderstanding, the plan is... eeeeh, still scrapped, back to the drawing board.
