Shavis couldn't help but wonder what the Church was pulling— a recreational activity? From how Elaine responded, it didn't seem like this happened a lot... or ever, at all. She mused about the idea that it might even be some sort of small competition between the knights of the church and the reavers if they were really trying to test their strength.
