[@Gardevoiran] Skylar went down to the shore and- and nothing. There was not a single thing here at the shore. He might have heard rumors about Route 16, not living too far from it. It was called “Isson’s most dangerous route” and that you’re absolutely not allowed to play around there. There were actually fences if you went down the cliff at Freecape City and then tried going south via the shore. As he’s not actually on top of Route 16, you’re not getting the image. That said, there sure were some shores here, and then out over the ocean there was some distant light from the Eerie Lighthouse. The shore itself was just a stretch of sand that there didn’t appear to be anything on… Or, wait, what was that. There was someone running over this way! It’s a swimmer? ‘I SWEAR THOSE DIDN’T USE TO BE THERE…!!!’ It was a positively panicked swimmer that was going to run straight past Skylar in terror. So, that wasn’t something you saw every day. So, what was that going on further down the beach? It did seem like… Oh, there he is.
The man was kneeling in the sand building sandcastles. Next to a sandcastle. While a couple mounds of sands were- They were all alive. It is a sand mound playfully built by a child possessed by the spirit of a grudging departed. It is capable of controlling anyone who puts their hand in their mouth, and will use them to build themselves larger with more sand. It is very possessive of the shovel in its head and will fight to keep it. And the guy is, at the present, picking up sand and pouring it over one of the sand-dune Pokémon. The guy didn’t seem very in-control. There was also another Pokémon there. One substantially larger. Pokédex Entry #770 – Palossand, the Sand Castle Pokémon. The end result of Sandygast controlling people to make itself bigger. Known as the Beach Nightmare, it controls the sand itself to pull prey down into the beach where it then will drain them of their vitality. Despite living on beaches, it is very weak to water, as getting wet will destabilize its castle-shape. So, that’s the situation. These were not Pokémon that should be here in Isson… but as Skylar might remember, someone was anchored very close to here not very long ago that might explain that particular conundrum. What will Skylar do now?

Stalford’s Ferry
Route 16 is one of the most dangerous routes on Isson, but there’s a way around. There’s the ship, Stalford’s Ferry, that looks nothing like a regular ship. While normal ships often find themselves in danger trying to sail Route 16, Stalford’s Ferry is a fortress of a ship and has proven time and time again to be a reliable way to cross to the Northern Landmass and Witchpeak City. The mighty vessel can also keep you occupied as you’re sailing. You can attempt to fish out the open windows, you can find other trainers and keep yourself occupied while the vessel cruises to its destination, or perhaps simply attempt to enjoy the scenery… not that there’s much to see. However, occasionally the ship does come under attack, and for that reason trainers are expected to be able to defend themselves, which is also why you’re required to have collected Kristy’s Gym Badge in Raremine Town to prove that you’re capable of doing just that. One way trip is 500P.
1. Take the ferry. Costs 500P. 2. Seek trainers. There’s plenty of trainers taking the ferry. 3. Talk. Then, one eventful hospital-scene later. He got his bracer and Lesley nodded to his thanks for everything. ‘I’m counting on that you’ll be back. I need to see how well you’ve raised your dragon. You might just find that I’ve come to check up on you before you’ve come to visit me,’ Lesley said, giving a chuckle as she took a couple steps back. She then took a deep breath and whistled in front of the hospital, and people around who knew what that meant moved out of the way as Lesley stepped out into the open. ‘I’ll see you later!’ With that, she leapt up into the air, and just as the Salamence once again blew through the streets she landed on top of it and was carried off into the distance. Yet, over time, Dragon Lake has actually increased in volume, the water-level rising and swallowing the town. Then the natural conclusion would be to move the town back, follow the water-level, and rebuild at the new shore, right? That, does not appear to have been the thought that went through the minds of the designers of this Town, which is essentially placed out in the water on top of older buildings, the streets of the town flooded in water and to get around one has to make use of their many canoes or get on the back of a Pokémon. The town of Lakewatch rises fairly high for its size, and vegetation grows pretty freely around the buildings. Most buildings and streets have white floating cobblestone to walk on either side of the streets, with a river of water flowing in the middle. People here are highly accustomed to this, and the streets are constantly bustling with people heading back and forth, as well as people actually gliding down from the higher buildings from the roofs above using strange little paragliders. It appears people live in the higher floors, while business takes place on ground/water-level. There are canoes basically everywhere that anyone’s free to borrow, townspeople commonly jumping down on a canoe, using the force of the jump to drift it to the other side and then simply jump off. Now, anyone could hear from the name that Lakewatch Town is the town that basically rules the Dragon Lake. The Lakewatchers are a group of people that regularly patrol the waters, and become friends with the dragons that live there. Tours by the Lakewatchers are the primary tourist attraction of the place, along with the fish that is procured from the same lake, and guides are trained to show the way in any surrounding areas. Their boats are also those who trade with the western side through Highhill, keeping the place alive and busy. Plus, there’s always the rumors of treasure or otherwise hiding deep in Flooded Lakewatch, and Descent Tower looms in the middle of town for those hoping to explore… but who really knows?
