As for the original plan, whatever it was, I definitely wish to alter it and avoid it being a love triangle plot! I'm all for continuing with the Ruby, Alex and Vander, but I did wish to ask... How would you feel if Brahm became... Noel?

It would alter things a bit, but I feel like as it stands things aren't where either of us truly like them. If you're okay with me altering Brahm into Nicky (no that doesn't sound right either), this is my revised plot proposal. 

Ruby and Alex have had some supernatural encounters through the years though actually getting concrete proof has been futile. So as a hobby they started the Washington Ghouls Group, though it's always just the two of them. So there's some background with it, but nothing that screams "Holy shit we're ghost hunting!" They still have their same jobs, same lives, everything is perfectly normal besides some spooks they encounter (and well, the fact Ruby was saved by a ghost lol) 

Vander eventually encounters them and joins the group, perhaps concealing his vampire nature and his past. Once he joins, supernatural stuff comes at them from all sides. Ghosts, demons, mermaids, vampire, hell even Annabelle 2.0 maybe lol
They start getting further and further engrained into supernatural society, helping to preserve normal life for all those they love and care about. 

After some time, encounters with various supes, maybe even a face off or two with Parker and his gang who just straight up want to kill all supes. That's then we introduce Natasha (maybe I don't knowwwwww) who also conceals her identity and tries to get close to Alex. Perhaps that doesn't work, and when Nicolette (honestly don't hate that one) is down in the dumps, Ruby decides to go for it. I do like the idea of her having the personality of Nicole's (eh) first wife's personality, and the two falling for each other. Perhaps after an especially rough battle against a werewolf that's when they realize they can't go on just being flirtatious. They need something more... Real. 

Of course, Nicolette (yeah I think that's the one) will still be giving Vander shit cause... Well, Brahm was originally supposed to be cocky. Nicolette will probably be the same, just more calculating.
