	I smile, bowing to Mr. Wu until he hugs me. I hug him gently back, grinning at Nero’s discomfort when he gets hugged. Avery hovers nearby while Nix takes a walk of the perimeter. I look over to see Mr. Wu giving Cassiopeia the biggest hug of all. I nudge Nero and gesture for them to follow me.

	As we pass, I squeeze Nic’s shoulder. [color=#006400]”Should anything come up tonight, have Avery call us. We’ll see you tomorrow,”[/color] I say before I join Avery and run through the details of the night and what he and Nix are expected to do.

	[color=#006400]”Are you two going to be okay, or do you want me to call Lillian in as well?”[/color]

	“I’ll check with Nix, but we should be fine, boss,” Avery assures me. I nod and glance up at the police station before scanning, looking further than I could see for anything amiss. Sometimes, the air shifted or seemed off when there was something near.

	I fiddle with my hair while Nic and his father approach, filled with nervous energy. I’m so focused on that that I don’t fully comprehend Mr. Wu’s hug until he’s squeezing me tightly. I make a little noise of surprise before I put my arms around Nic’s dad and hug him back. I hope I did everything right for him for tonight and tomorrow.
