Nic bites his tongue, only thinking of his question. [i]Can Caden even break his bond? If he can’t, then what choice did he have?[/i] Her bitter sarcasm made it clear that they aren’t going to broach the subject tonight, not while emotions are still high. [color=F7941D]“I never once felt in danger.”[/color] He tells her, looking into her eyes as he does.

[color=F7941D]“I don’t know why I wasn’t terrified, but I was worried about [i]you[/i] more than anything else. Somehow I knew that you wouldn’t hurt me.”[/color] He kisses her forehead and runs his fingers through her hair again. It was starting to get a little frizzy with her curls poofing out as they dry. Nicholas finds it absolutely endearing.
