His dad is still upstairs and there’s no one else to interrupt them this time, so he closes the little distance between them and kisses her fully on her lip, the hand on her leg moving to rest on her hip.

Nero closes their eyes as Caden’s fingers brush their skin, finding the motion soothing, almost lulling them to sleep. [i]Almost[/i]. They open their eyes when Caden speaks and follows their line of sight out the window. [color=#9B111E]“Human culture is always so diverse and different, yet somehow so similar. It’s fascinating.”[/color] Nero notes before resting their head on Caden’s shoulder. Maybe that’s why they collected so many oddities and why they were always so different compared to other demons; they already had an appreciation for humanity brewing inside them.
