Nero could say they’re surprised by Caden’s actions as soon as the elevator doors closed, but they’re not. They happily clasp their hands around Caden’s neck while standing on their tiptoes to better reach him, kissing him pack deeply. You’d think these two had spent months or years apart with their passion.

At first, Kiki had thought about leading Avery into her before locking herself in the bathroom, but she realized that wouldn’t be fair for him since he wouldn’t have his clothes there. Her second thought was to just tease him, but her real reason is that she wants him close by generally, but also would feel better entering her room with Avery by her side. [i]Just in case.[/i] She thinks to herself as she opens her door and peeks her head inside to turn on the lights. 

[color=FFF79A]“Rabbits make for an exciting chase.”[/color] She says offhandedly. [color=FFF79A] “Sorry to drag you all the way here only to send you away, I just…”[/color] Kiki shrugs, chewing on her lip when she couldn’t find the right words.

Nic smiles, sad that the moment is over already, but it’s probably for the best. [color=F7941D]“I will, don’t you worry.”[/color] He tells her sincerely before kissing her head. [color=F7941D]“I’ll see you tomorrow.”[/color] Nic waits for Cass to go inside her house before he gets to the SUV and makes sure the door closed behind her. He knows perfectly well that she’s more than capable of handling herself, but he still worries. 

The ride to the new place is relatively short and Nic picks up some groceries on the way to make sure they have some food in the apartment. Kat and Jane had already left, his dad informs him when he go through the front door. When Nic let his dad in on what Cass is doing for them, the man cries and hugs Nic. They have their moment and set up a place to have their photos of Mom and Kiki on display before going off to their own rooms to unpack there.
